Do you guys think the game will support a 5 player mode? 4 on splitscreen on the TV and one on the Gamepad? And what other features do you think the Gamepad will bring to the table?
I think so but it might be asymmetric and I was pretty worried by a recent screenshot showing 2 player splitting the screen vertically and not having gamepad vs TV but that may well have been because they were showing 2 player with gamepad and wiimote as wheels

And by the way, I assume that you can change your whole entire kart just like in MKWII right? See the trailers it looks like you can from my eyes. If so, boy am I glad that if they did bring it back. In seven you chould change it to look different, but ends up being the same like everyone else's... yaaaay. Hence why I loved Wii.

Cloudtop Cruise looks outstanding! Like @DestinyMan said, I probably would've voted for this course on the main page if it was an option! I can't wait to see it in motion.
I hope the next Wii U Direct announces a Mario Kart 8 bundle for all regions, I'm sure anyone that sees these tracks would want a Wii U for Mario Kart 8.

I haven't played MK7 can you explain the part with "being the same"? By looking at some gameplay it seems like other parts give you other abilities(like more speed for example)? :3

^ I'm definitely with you on that. It's killing me holding off on buying a Wii U because I'm afraid they'll announce a bundle right after I purchase one then I'll be ticked. Probably doesn't help that I keep teasing myself by visiting gamestop and drooling over the indie eshop line up. lol

I'm pretty much holding out as long as possible to see if they will announce a bundle. It's tough being patient, but I've done well so far. I'm definitely in agreement with you though in hoping it's announced.

Hm.. Looking back at MK Wii it's not different? Karts and Character that got the best abilities get used more often.
