Topic: Mario Kart 8 - OT

The worst thing is when the blue shell targets you DESPITE not being in first place. If you're nearing the finish line and you're only second or third or whatever, the shell will hit you instead of whoever'a really in first.

I understand why as it would make the shell useless in the final moments otherwise, but it's still such bull****!

No, what's worse is when you were in first when the shell got off the ground, but a red shell hit you, dropping you about three places before the blue shell actually hits, causing you to lose 6 coins, if you had that many and probably at least as many places.

Yeah that's pretty bad... Even worse than getting needlessly kicked around in the beginning of every race because you play as a light character! (Shy Guy)

@whodatninja Yeah, I main Yoshi in every MK ever made, so I wouldn't know too much about that, but I suppose I do go for a fairly light build, since I see no need for Weight, aside from higher top speed.

Well, not getting knocked far into off-road/out of bounds by a nearby rampaging Bowser player really is a good point to having some weight on your character. Ruins races for me

Seems like an expanded roster is coming to MK8 (otherwise, someone did a fantastic job creating a fake screen shot). If this would be correct, does this also hint at a Luigi's Mansion?

Yeah, that's a pretty interesting rumour ey. I mean if this screen is faked.....

the person behind it is pretty damn good at photoshop. All the characters are the right size and style, all have the proper outline and there's no dodgy backgrounds. They're also all looking at the camera as they do in Mario Kart 8 normally. So it's either real or very, very well done.

Going to be honest, I honestly thought that was real for a minite until I saw Plessie...

Wow, that looks really good, but wouldn't Plessie be too big for Mario Kart? (That didn't stop Queen Bee though...)

Plessie is on the "baby" row, so it could be "baby Plessie". After all, Yoshi is in the roster so it would very much sense to bring Plessie to the roster as well.

I guess we'll know in the next day or so either way......

Pretty much what everyone else said. If this is a fake, it's a REALLY good fake, and I'd certainly welcome Birdo, Magikoopa (Kamek?), and Diddy Kong into the roster. Maybe they're even planning on adding another row so they can fit all Koopalings on the bottom row with the Mii. (I've always felt the organization of the roster as is made little to no sense.)

I didn't say Queen B was a good addition, but certainly a weirder one than Plessie. I see no reason to think that Plessie makes this "leak" a fake.

I don't think they'll add arenas to battle mode, and I don't think they should.
Tracks work a lot better if you ask me.

I think they should add more variety in the form of different modes, but I think they should keep it on tracks, unless the particular modes they add work better in arenas (unlike Balloon Battle).
