On the other hand, if Blue Shells appear 7+ times, so will Lightning Bolts, Thunder Clouds, Pow Blocks, and Super Horns, as well as Triple Mushrooms, Golden Mushrooms, Chain Chomps, Piranha Plants, and Triple Red Shells. And you'd probably get at least one Crazy 8 per match.

@Jazzer94 I just watched that whole video and it made me so anxious to play Mario Kart xD I want to pick up my Wii U bundle (I pre-ordered) but all these doom-and-gloom predictions for the Wii U make me think I should save my money Perhaps I should just wait for E3?

This is such a hard decision, seeing as I want to play MK8 so bad Need to ease my mind X_X

@Jazzer94 That's what they get for using the most unoriginal combos in the game. But no, seriously, when you have no off-road stat and you take an off-road short cut, don't complain when you get screwed halfway through it and can't recover. Yoshi in the Dolphin Dasher or Zip Zip isn't gonna have that problem. But then Yoshi in the Dolphin Dasher doesn't get to complain when Funky in the Spear or Daisy in the Sneakster is faster than him, either.

@SleepyCrossing As many times as this conversation comes up, I should really just have a cut-and-paste response to it, by now. The Wii U is just fine. The doom and gloom exists because people like to complain. The Wii U is a great system with plenty of good games to justify the purchase, in the first place and I don't see it going anywhere for a few years, at least. The doom sayers are a self-fulfilling prophecy. So long as people keep saying it won't last, it'll never get the install base it needs to last, but then I don't really care how many people get the system because the games are awesome. If you were planning on getting one, don't back off just because some guy said it would do poorly. You know what you want out of the system, and you have the tools to search for legitimate sources to see if it's in the system or expected in the future or not.

@SleepyCrossing Don't worry I'm talking about frantic mode in MK8 (where rare items appear more frequently). About Wii U it's going to get a good amount of fantastic 1st party software like SSB4, Bayonetta 2, X, Zelda, MK8 and more as time goes by the only thing you need to keep in mind is that 3rd party support is going to most likely be very light.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the Target stores with a midnight release of MK8?

I think the street date was broken by French retailers because there are quite a few French people streaming the game right now on Twitch.
