Topic: Is Wii U VC keeping pace with Wii VC?

I think that word should be singular.

This past Thursday, 3/13/14, 1 year and 7 weeks since launch, the Wii U VC got Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (NES).

On 1/7/08, 1 year and 7 weeks since its launch, the Wii VC got StarTropics (NES) and The King of Fighters '94 (Neo Geo).

Meh.

I've got the SNES Harvest moon for wii vc and I can also buy Harvest Moon for WiiU VC. So that's one isn't unique to one system

Currently, I say that it is. America had a poor 2015 but Europe has done very well IMO. While I would like Sega consoles and the NeoGeo to be supported on Wii U as well, I can't knock the Game Boy Advance and DS support. I don't really count the Wii disc downloads as being Virtual Console games though. Most of them don't offer anything beyond the retail disc releases except for a higher price tag and a large chunk on storage being eaten. I do approve of Game Pad support for Xenoblade Chronicles, but I understand why not every game can be played just using the Game Pad.

In the N64 in Wii there were even games like Ogre Battle 64 (Square) and Bomberman Hero (Hudson), and if you check the N64 in Wii U all are from Nintendo. That means a seriously lack of support. Even the DS games are all from Nintendo and no other company put their DS games. Please Capcom! Where is RE Deadly Silence from DS and Megaman 64 or RE2?

Even in Japan there is Turbografx por 3DS and Wii U. Imagine if Neogeo could bring back their games to Wii U.

Yes, Nintendo has legendary games but the Wii U VC doesn´t reach the same level that Wii VC, simply because a lot of developers aren´t interested. Even Sega let die the Gamegear in 3DS and has no interest to bring Master System and Genesis to Wii U.

I think Nintendo are preventing other companies from releasing DS and N64 games or doing so would be too costly and risky for other companies to consider releasing games.

@DarkEdi: You'll probably see a lot of Mega Man games appear on NA Wii U VC next month because of the annual Mega May.
