I've been trying to get to the bottom left square (to get that weapon), but that mission with Zelda before it is a bit hard to A-rank... I just keep getting lots of damage thanks to Volga and the army of moblins D:
I'm having to grind for Moblin Spears and Gohma Lenses to fill out Wizzro and King Daphnes badge trees.
Also, I'm feeling an increase in chance for the Legends exclusive stuff (excluding My Fairy and being able to control multiple characters) being in the Wii U version via updates (e.g. Linkle and Wind Waker stories coming with the 1.9.0 update that comes with Medli). Look at this 1st page of description for Tetra in the Wii U version:
Tetra, the Pirate Leader
With a portal to the Era of the Great Sea opened, the captain of the terrors of the sea rushed through and joined the legendary hero in his cause.
Well in the Wii U version, a portal didn't open to the Era of the Great Sea as so far it's Legends exclusive. There's a similar description for King Daphnes.
I have to say, once you get into the Adventure map it becomes pretty clear that every challenge was specifically placed for specific reasons, so that there are set paths to follow even it doesn't seem like there are. Like, Young Link is waaaaay up on the top left corner and I've been trying to get to him, but along the way I had to beat a Twili Midna exclusive stage and I hadn't unlocked her yet, so I had to go all the way to the other side of the map to unlock her first, which meant getting items to get enemies to appear in some of the squares leading up to her, and unlocking the path to her square with a hookshot too. I just unlocked her and got her up to speed level and skillwise. Now I'm ready to go back to the path to Young Link again.
It's a very purposefully set is what I'm trying to say, haha. They really gave a lot of thought into how the whole thing is laid out and it shows.
Finally got Young Link! He's super fun to play as! Once I get all the special bar and focus bar skills he's gonna be a beast. Unfortunately I need Darknut armor to get past the second combo skill on the skill tree...
@TingLz I would have thought your main would be Tingle, lol.
Yay I could finally A rank that mission and advanced to the one where you unlock the great fairy, which was almost too easy to A-rank. Not that I complain.
She's fun to use (specially how she mistreats link). Though it can be hard to judge distances with her.
I also want to unlock Young Link, but I'd need to beat legend mode first to get to him... Oh well. His Ocarina move will be awesome in conjunction with the fairy companions.

It was, but then I exploited the hell out of Young Link's abilities. The mask is ridiculous

I've been concentraing more on unlocked weapons today. I unlocked Link's Epona, Zelda's Windwaker and Impa's Naginata. Epona seems to be pretty meh, though I love the concept. The naginata is AMAZING and cool looking in all its attacks. And I haven't tried the Windwaker yet.
I've unlocked almost everybody now. The only playable character I have yet to unlock is Zant.
@TingLz Yeah Young Link seems like a beast of a character if you can build up his special and focus bar skill trees. He's pretty much unstoppable while wearing the mask, and I love the special bar to focus bar conversion, considering how much more common it is to fill up the special bar than the focus bar. If he wasn't able to do that he's probably be kinda bad.
I finally unlocked the Great Sea adventure map! Right off the bat there are 7 outfit unlock squares in my field of vision and two weapon unlocks. Beating two squares opens up 6 of them but I have no item cards on this map yet to unlock them with.
Got some outfits. The Standard Great Sea outfit looks awesome on Link, I think I'll be using that one permanently unless something more awesome comes up. I hope Toon Link gets it too. I mean, it IS his outfit.
I also unlocked Great Sea versions of Zelda's and Cia's standard outfits but they're kind of disappointing. I'm not sure what's so "Great Sea" about them. Cia is just a bit more red and Zelda looks almost exactly the same but just a smidge darker pink, oooooh big difference. =_=
I feel like Link is grossly over levelled at this point, lol. He's level 64 right now. In comparson the second-highest levelled character is Ganondorf at 43.
I can't help using Link when I can. With the Master Sword enemies just crumble and it's almot a guarenteed A Rank. And I need A Ranks to unlock the good stuff!
@Meowpheel: Well even though I did do the majority of the first Adventure map, there are some I haven't done yet, and a few weapons I haven't gotten, which I'll need to get back to.
I just really wanted to start on the Windwaker stuff cause I really love Winwaker, haha...
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Hmm...does anyone know if "Ganon Link" is in Legends? The one from Ganon's Fury?
That one is probably the best costume in the game right behind "Hilda"
From what I understand, Legends has absolutely EVERYTHING the original had plus all the new stuff. Except for challenge mode. So I assume that costume is something that'll be unlocked late-game.

Maybe a bit of a rude question, but if someone has the character code from the Hyrule warriors 3DS version (I mean the European version, the PAL version) and doesn't want to use it on the Wii u version, maybe you can send it to my email-adres? I would totally love that!! Thanks in advance!
Here's my email-adres: [email protected]
Uuugh. I only need to unlock one more weapon on the original Adventure Map, and then I believe the Master Sword's first skill will be unlocked and I can start getting the kills required.
But the thing is, to get to the square the weapon is on I need to pass the adjacent one with an A Rank, using Zelda. The refommended element is lightning so I'm using the Windwaker, but I don't like it. It's much too slow and relaxed for my liking. And then I keep failing to get the A Rank with her and have to do it again.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
@Detective_TeeJay: I had trouble with that one too. In the end I just used the rapier instead, because by that point I had a much stronger rapier than I did Wind Waker.
