If it's through a download code then it's entirely possible that the new characters could be made available through eShop at some point.

Has it been confirmed if the new story stages and Wind Waker Adventure Map will be transferable to the Wii U? I was interested in getting this before I saw footage of how it plays on the original 3DS, but I also want to be able to play the new content they added.

Still progressing strong with the Wii U version, nearly completed Challenge mode fully (only got Ganon's Fury left so figured I'd focus on that before going back to the Twilight and Termina adventure maps given it gives lots of gold boss materials)..

So I have a bit of a dilemma, I want the physical version (and preordered it) to have a physical copy but I also want the digital version for convenience (so for example I can switch between Legends and Fates while out somewhere but am certainly only getting the physical special edition for Fates whenever it comes out). So currently I would be having 2 versions of the game and hence 2 codes for the Wii U characters but of course I only need one.

Got any ideas for a fair way to give a Wii U code away here for someone who wants the extra characters on Wii U but not wanting to buy the 3DS version?

I just streetpassed a guy that this was the last game he had played. I'm not sure how he got that. I guess he could have a Japanese version, but it's a guy I have streetpassed over 20 times before and he has never shown any signs of having anything in Japanese (we live in Tennessee). I think his last game has usually been Pokemon, but I don't really remember. And I've streetpassed people with Japanese games before and everything has always been in Japanese, but this was all in English. Strange. My favorite part, though, was clicking on going to the eShop to get more info on it, and after waiting a couple of minutes for it to load, I get an error message that this game is not available.

Maybe he got a review copy.

I keep streetpassing someone who always seems to get games weeks before their release dates, I always get annoyed as I've pre-ordered the same game and I haven't even got a dispatch email for it when he's playing.

Medley will be made available on both the Wii U and 3DS versions for free along with the release of the first DLC pack for Legends.

I don't even like this game, but I'm hyped Medli's in it. She's easily my favorite WW character.

If you preorder Legends from Game in the UK you'll get some extra fairy outfits.

Agahnim? Or maybe Din/Farore/Nyaru? I think the Rod of seasons and the harp of ages would be great weapons. I would love to play as Link with the Oracle skin or heck even Link with the Picori sword.
