So, anyone else share my thoughts - frankly, i dont think this game is for me, sure I could get it and give it a try, but my gaming time is limited so to placate the wife, i only go for the big games im sure to enjoy, or cheap VC, but damm i really like the box art on this game. I could happily print that out as a colour poster for the gaming room.
To summize post - Awesome box art, right?
Some GameStops have a demo for this game, you might want to try it out
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
1] How do you activate the Focus Spirit bonuses (the ''More Rupees!'', ''More EXP!'' stuff)? I activated them all at least once, as I got the Super Star Medal. But I have no idea how to do this at will.
2] Is it possible to sell weapons at any time? Or do I have to wait until I found too many of them?
3] How do you make more mixtures(?) at the apothecary? I can only make the first two as of now...
1. I'm fairly certain they activate automatically
2. Wait until you have to many
3. Collect Gold Skulltulas too unlock more mixtures.
Thank you. I haven't bothered with the Skulltulas, guess I'll do that next.
Note that most of the Skulltulas are in Adventure mode.
I know, I'm about 60-70% done with Adventure Mode, it's just that I didn't want to go after another collectable. One at a time. At first I thought that 100% this game was an easy task, but it's definitely going to take a while.
What does the network link do? I always turn mine off.
Well if you don't get it that makes me feel better
When it's on and you go into Adventure Mode a different colored Link character appears on the board map. It may have to be a Wii U friend though I'm not sure. When you play that map area it's more difficult but the weapon drops are better, and the ruppess also I think. I've only done it once so far - I only have 2 Miiverse friends you and Element w/ the Alf avatar - but I got a 5 star sword w/ 140 power and 50,000 rupees. I think the person who's Link you played on (I think it's called Network "Link" as a double meaning) is supposed to get something as well.
Or you could just turn it on and find out

This is what I could gather about Network Links with the tutorials in game.
When you connect to the network, there's a chance a Network Link could appear for one of the missions. If you choose to do it, the mission will be harder than it usually is, but you'll get better rewards as a result (most likely more materials and higher ranked weapons). Completing the mission will also give the person who had the Network Link a bonus as well. No idea what it is since I have never gotten a bonus. The bonuses are better on both ends if the Network Link is one of your friends. I have no idea how to send out a Network Link or receive one, I'm pretty certain the process is all automated as long as you're connected to the network.

Also, another note about the Network Links. It seems obvious, but the difficulty of the mission is based on the level of the Link. I learned that the hard way when I tried to play a mission with a Level 99 Link.

I figured that when I went up against a friend at level 32 and I was only level 24. I brought my best weapon for that one. I feel like I already have quite a few very strong weapons from some excellent weapon drops.

Yeah, I tried that mission with a level 15 Sheik. I knew something was wrong when my special hit about 50 enemies but only KOed 6 of them.

Seriously try it and return it if you don't like it. If you have even a little interest in something you need to give it a try, life is too short not to. Playing it safe all the time just leads to regrets later down the line. That said if you know you won't like it then don't waste you time or money.
Anyone got the Prima guide to HW? Is it worth getting?
I don't think you need it to unlock everything, but it is very pretty and I like the artbook section.

Does anyone know what I should be looking for with the Heart Containers in Legend mode? I only want a vague idea such as for Pieces of Heart I'd say "keeps" as a hint.

I'm having some trouble grasping what exactly I'm supposed to be doing in Adventure Mode. Soooo can anyone explain to me the objective of it? It's kind of complicated to be honest.
Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)

Sure, it is confusing to start will but for me it's the most fun.
First of all you can only open up so much of the map if you have the right people to do so. If you can't get somewhere you need to unlock that character first.
When you do a map piece you get a reward be it candle, compass, or say bomb. The compass is used to search the area so you can use the bombs or candles to unlock everything that particular map piece has to offer. When you look at the top you will see requires search. Hit the X button and select compass to do so then the reviled square will let you know what you need to do to get that item. For some stages you just need to get an A rank. Others you need to perform a search to see what needs to be done.
If I'm forgetting anything else People please feel free to add to this. I'm not very far into it and there might be even more to it then I realize.

Finally been able to play it, very fun, a little bit messy and short time to do a lot of things, but is just getting to it. Great graphics and music, controls works fine.

I haven't gotten very far in Legend mode but I've gotten quite a few hearts and pieces in Adventure mode and they are always in a chest after you beat some random keep they pop up in a cut scene. So my guess would be it's the same. I always make sure I beat the entire map each level which is killing my score - time is always B or C - but I like hearts <3 Now thos eskulltullas - those things can b eanywhere, grass, under rocks, who knows, I've only found 3 so far.
So has anybody actually gotten something for a friend beating 1 of their Adventure mode Links? I've beaten 3 and gotten a 120 power weapon each time but I'm wondering about on the other end?

Each stage has an objective. A rank rewards are listed as well as completion rewards and hidden hearts and skulltulas. If you are using the character listed next the what ever reward you are aiming for and you meet the requirements you get that reward. Many stages will need to be replayed as sometimes they require different characters. You also will have to unlock the ability to earn the A rank rewards by using search and the item cards. It is a throw back to the NES game so you will for instance use the candle to burn bushes. I just realized Link is a pyro. Anyway the compass gets used a lot to reveal other areas. Some stages require a certain character so you may need to play legend mode more to get them unlocked. Some character are unlocked IN adventure mode. Usually I go on an item run and play stages that have item cards as a reward multiple times so I can stock up. But I like to grind games out that way, you don't have to do that.
