Yeah Adventure mode is huge. I have pretty much been playing that exclusively now. I haven't even beaten Legend mode yet. I just go back and unlock characters that I need to progress Adventure mode.

I have been trying to defeat Gohma o my own for two hours.
Do I just suck? Or is the game out to get me?
I lost my 1st 3 tries but then was able to beat him before he left for the Deku tree, made me very happy I did keep using the restart option which put me back to the keep when it first arrives which kind of felt like cheating but it was the first selection - "restart from checkpoint" - so I took it.

While playing this game here's a few quirky things I've noticed -
0. Hiding the registration code on the inside back cover of the box is just a bad place to put it.
00. Why can't I exit the game from the start-up screen? Isn't that what start-up screens are for?
1. I really want to pick Legend, Challenge or Arena Mode by touching the Gamepad. Same for character and weapon, put that stylus to use.
2. Don't play Challenge Mode w/o playing level 3 Faron Woods first, it won't go well. Or really at all.
3. Adventure Mode is more interesting w/ the Network Link turned on, mine was off by default. I think I got 50,000 rupees for 1 box.
4. Smithy is weird, I'll just use what I have thanks. Delteing weapons is only marginally better explained.
5. Where's the inventory list of all the items? I don't want to see them only when I'm using them to make badges.
Besides that I've been having a lot of fun. I like Adventure mode opening, the little hand that recommends which character and weapon to select, difficulty setting is right there, all the characters play very differently, the minimap is extremely well used - should be on the Gamepad maybe?
I'm not the biggest fan of Zelda - usually too slow - or of the mosou games - too mindless - but put together its just enough of each for very addicting game play.

1] How do you activate the Focus Spirit bonuses (the ''More Rupees!'', ''More EXP!'' stuff)? I activated them all at least once, as I got the Super Star Medal. But I have no idea how to do this at will.
2] Is it possible to sell weapons at any time? Or do I have to wait until I found too many of them?
3] How do you make more mixtures(?) at the apothecary? I can only make the first two as of now...

1. I'm fairly certain they activate automatically
2. Wait until you have to many
3. Collect Gold Skulltulas too unlock more mixtures.

Thank you. I haven't bothered with the Skulltulas, guess I'll do that next.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.

Note that most of the Skulltulas are in Adventure mode.
My copy arrived today and I finally sat down and played it for a couple of hours after I got home from work. I like it so far. I don't play a lot of hack and slash games and the only Warriors game I've ever played was Legends of Troy.... but I like this.
I'm looking forward to more.
So, anyone else share my thoughts - frankly, i dont think this game is for me, sure I could get it and give it a try, but my gaming time is limited so to placate the wife, i only go for the big games im sure to enjoy, or cheap VC, but damm i really like the box art on this game. I could happily print that out as a colour poster for the gaming room.
