Hyrule Warriors DLC: This mashup of Dynasty Warriors and The Legend of Zelda already includes a large amount of content. Nintendo plans to support the game for the long run with more content to help players expand their adventures even farther. That program kicks off when the game launches on Sept. 26. People who buy the game will receive access to a free download that adds a new mode, a new weapon and the option to select music to add to the Hyrule Warriors experience. As detailed in a recent Nintendo Direct, consumers who pre-order the game at select retailers will receive a free download code for a set of alternate in-game costumes for Link and Zelda. Additionally, anyone who registers the game with Club Nintendo will receive a free download code for a set of alternate costumes for Ganondorf. All of these additional costumes will become available for purchase in the Nintendo eShop in the near future. Further details on timing and pricing will be announced at a later time.
Knowing a bit about dynasty warriors games and universe, i would say that updates and patches will be free.... while dlc containing cosrumes, weapons, stages or whatsoever are normaly not free and pretty expensive.... it s like thst for orichi 3, dynasty warrior 8 so i presume will be the same for HW
I want the Skyward Sword costumes from Bestbuy but it says it is online only and I hate waiting for things to come in the mail; so I guess I'll just get it with the Ocarina costumes from EBgames.
Anyone have any guesses as to what the new challenge mode is?
In the latest Warriors game released in the west challenge mode consists of 5 mini games, Arena, Inferno, Time trial, (knock ppl off the)Bridge combat and one that escapes me right now. The best of the bunch is Arena as its essentially a boss rush mode.

Hmm. Interesting. That would be cool. I'd also like to see some sort of "survival" mode or a mode where you defend Hyrule castle for as long as possible against randomized waves of enemies.

As far as I know you can pre-order and pick up the game in-store. That is what I plan on doing (hope it works out!). I personally would prefer the Twilight Princess costumes, but I happen to have a BB gift card, so...
