Oh damn that's a hard decision three great games, but you can only choose one.I would go with Guacamelee, but shovel knight and teslgrad is great too. Ahh i can't choose!
The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
I have only played Teslagrad and Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition. I have not yet played Shovel Knight (since it's not on the European eShop yet) but I have seen some videos of it.
I think all 3 of these are must-have indies.
Between Teslagrad and Guacamelee!, I'd would personally rank Teslagrad higher than Guacamelee!, mainly because of the art approach and the way the story is unfold and with its 2 different endings. But here's a rough comparison (I assume you know the different artstyles in these 2 games):
There's no text at all in Teslagrad, so the story is told by paintings, graffiti on the walls and puppet plays.
Guacamelee! is told mainly by text or by talking to people.
Teslagrad is more of a puzzle platformer with great bosses, Guacamelee! has more smashing enemies.
Guacamelee! has tighter controls.
There's are some frame drops in Teslagrad when switching scenes around the "lift" (although it doesn't affect gameplay). I have not noticed any frame drops in Guacamelee!
Teslagrad has a rather dark story, Guacamelee! is more humourous.
Guacamelee! can be 2-player, Teslagrad is single player.
Both games have tributes to various Nintendo franchises hidden in the game.
I got Guacamelee in the end yesterday and been having fun with it. Might end up getting Shovel Knight this week too then. How do people rank Child of Light as well? I do like RPGs.
She was like a candle in the wind... Unreliable.

Child of Light is solid and a desperately needed break from the "MAKE EVERYTHING A NEEDLESSLY LONG EPIC" cycle RPGs sometimes fall into. I'd recommend it.
