Topic: Error Code 118-0516 (PLEASE HELP! I'VE ALREADY MISSED OUT ON BOTH SPLATOON EVENTS BECAUSE OF THIS)

Ever since March, my Wii U started giving me the error code 118-0516. I used to have it in the past, but then I had to factory-reset my router and... well... it began to do that stupid error thing again. I looked it up, it said it had to do something with the NAT settings. I did everything they said. DMZ, Port Forwarding, and that next stupid thing. Nothing is working.

PLEASE HELP. I've already missed out on both Splatoon events so far because I wasted the hour trying to fix the error. I don't want to miss the last one going on today. Please help...

What did your ISP do?

Your error code basically means that your ISP considers the location of at least one of the players (or maybe even the servers themselves) as dangerous (I had the same when trying to play MH3U with people from spain).
Try to delete all connection setting on your WiiU, turn it off, back on, and then reconnect it to the router. Also, try to connect it via LAN, if possible (though it's not a problem if you can't). If you keep getting the error, try updating your router, and put exceptions for connection forwarding on all ports for WiiU. It's a bit weird to handle this error, but some of the most random things can bypass it.
