Anyone else expecting some new third party announcements this year?? I know we got some surprises last year and it would be great if we had some more this year
I am hopeful for:
Monster Hunter 4U
Some fun party games maybe something like PacMan VS that doesn't cost a lot to make but it could berreally fun to play with friends or maybe a quiz game or something simple
An exclusive sports game doesn't matter what sport so long as its fun
An exclusive military shooter with good use of the gamepad for tactical decisions and good multiplayer. I'd love to see Nintendo fund like Delta Force or something
SMT X FE, gameplay.
Retro Metroid gameplay (hahahhahahha...ha....)
Wario: Shake It sequel
New IP of some kind, hopefully in the RPG/Strategy genre
Crazy crossover title like Project X Zone announcement would be nice...in fact, the same game with Nintendo's characters added would be amazing.
Super Mario Galaxy HD
Peek at the next gen handheld (won't happen until next year)
Announcement of Persona 5 WiiU (roflmao)
Ok, in crazy territory, so I'll end it....
Atari 2600, Commodore 64/128, Sega Genesis, 32X, Sega CD, PC, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Wii, PSP, DSi, PS3, 3DSXL, WiiU
-Metroid games for both 3DS and Wii U (Classic style for 3DS, Prime style for Wii U)
-Animal Crossing U
-Some type of collectathon Mario game, probably a remake (although what I'd really like to see is for them to turn Galaxy into a Rosalina spinoff, but that'd be less likely)
-Next Level's game
-Retro's game, if it's not Metroid
-Maybe a Wario platformer for 3DS
-Possibly the reveal of the new handheld, although I'm guessing they'll probably release both the console and handheld next year for release in 2017.
Can we not do this now? E3 is still entirely too far away to start this, in my opinion.
Can't we just talk about the next Direct expectations instead?
Nintendo Directs are 80% previous announcements, so there's not as much interesting announcements to talk about. Most of the interesting announcements are made at E3.
Still waiting for a Kirby Air Ride sequel...
Otherwise, I'd like to see a new WarioWare, a new Photo Dojo, and a game starring Waluigi. These are all hopes, rather than expectations though.
Expectations:
Digital Event, not live
Rhythm Heaven 3DS Localization
News on new Pokemon game
News on Fire Emblem IF
Splatoon DLC
Zelda
Star Fox
Devil's Third
Project Treasure
Xenoblade Chronicles X localization
Next Level's new game
What I'd like to see:
Live broadcasted roundtables
Yokai watch localization
Metroid trailer
Announcement of new player licensed sports titles
A new crossover
Wii U Price drop
Amiibo cards
Big Brain Academy 3DS
Ice Climbers 3D Platformer on 3DS
New modern 3D Mario platformer.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
I would love to see a new Mario Strikers with meaty single player career mode and of course online with tournaments and leagues, maybe even with promotion and relegation.I would also be very happy to see FIFA 16 coming to Wii U but there is more chance of my idea happening or hell freezing over for that matter that that becoming a reality.
I feel it's inevitable we'll see a new Metroid for Wii U and possibly another Gamecube remake.Would love to see Waverace and F-Zero coming to the Eshop as basic HD ports but with added online. The chances of new entries are slim,Waverace especially but the original GC titles still hold up well today so a simple upscaled port with online would make me and I'm sure many others overjoyed.
Star Fox trailer & Gameplay at Treehouse Even, and will launch mid October
Zelda U gameplay & trailer, and a release date for November 20, 2015
Paper Mario U
Fire Emblem If gameplay and release date for August
2D Metroid game for 3DS, and exclusive game modes for New 3DS, launching Q1/Q2 of 2016
Yo-Kai Watch, Bravely Second, Final Fantasy Explorers, and The Legend of Legacy announced for localization (the first two will be shown off in the Digital Event video, while the last two will just get announced by trailers on their YT channel)
Nintendo's new loyalty program.
As for Yoshi's Whooley World and XCX, I think more infomation will be given out in Nintendo Directs before E3.
I'm content with what they have already so TBH I don't really care that much. It's not like previous years where I've been jumping up and down hoping for a new console or games for that console.
Some playlists: Top All Time Songs, Top Last Year
An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
More promotional material and western release dates for Xenoblade Chronicles X
More promotional material and western release dates for The Devil's Third
Reveal of what Retro has been working on for the last 18 months
Some 3rd party announcements, nothing huge, maybe a "saved" exclusive like Bayo 2 or Devil's Third or something from partners like Next Level Games or Monster Games
Indy reel
Good chance:
SMTxFE... I haven't given up
Fatal Frame V localization... also haven't given up
Localization announcements for some 3DS games eg., Etrian Odyssey, Bravely Second, etc
The formula used last year will be repeated (Digital Event/Treehouse/Developer roundtables). Only thing missing would be a competitive tournament like last year's Smash competition.
Zelda U Zelda U Zelda U (oh and Star Fox I guess... )
Retro and Next Level Games' new projects
Devil's Third, Mario Maker, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem and whatnot.
New games yo
Amiibos
Club Nintendo's replacement (If it hasn't been announced by then)
They will probably show a Quality Of Life product.
E3 is the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Revealing information on your new line of health and lifestyle products to a bunch of gaming journalists and enthusiasts don't make much sense. They'll save that for a different event or conference.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
