Just beat the W4 boss. Pretty tough.. I died a LOT. Awesome world though. I really missed underwater sections in the previous game. Kind of sucks that the Temple wasn't underwater themed though, I was definitely expecting it to be a ruin on the bottom of the ocean or something.

Also, I wish we had a "WiiU screenshots" sticky & a respective "3DS screenshots" sticky in each forum section. It'd be fun to post some screens in a thread where people expect them (big screens can be annoying in a 'discussions' thread).

Can anyone give me some guidance on the rocket barrel levels? I'm mashing the B button to try to make it elevate when I need to but it seems to have a mind of it's own. Sometimes I am mashing it it goes straight up and sometimes when I'm doing the same thing it keeps going down... am I doing something wrong? it's very frustrating

Press and release. Depending on how long you pressed down the button, the rocket will fly a little bit higher before starting to fall after you release the button. You can tap but it's not recommended.

I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke!

I picked up the game on Friday night but have just got around to "really" playing it the last two nights. Can someone tell me if it's worth it to try and grab all the letters and puzzle pieces?

Letters: Yes.
They unlock secret levels etc.

Puzzle Pieces: No (IMO).
They only unlock extras in the "Extras" menu.

Changed my mind actually, world 4 is awesome. I usually hate water worlds, apart from rayman legends, but these are awesome. All hail that giant catfish thing.

Holy crap I just played the first level of world 3.....the music, the platforms, those dancing trees! It was like the lion king musical packed into one level! My favourite level thus far. This game is amazing!!

Ugh the final boss is ruining me.

It wouldn't be so bad if falling into the lava just meant losing one heart instead of instant death.

This game has the best soundtrack almost ever.

FINALLY beat World 6, had to take a break since these levels were reaching "throw controller at screen" difficulty, lol. Anyways managed to record a Dynamite Dash playthrough, uploading it soon.

Okay, since there are over a thousand posts, forgive me for asking a question that's surely been asked already. Is this game easier / more forgiving than the last one, or are there difficulty options or something for people who don't like having their blood pressure raised so high that they actually now have TWO blood pressures? (It might make sense if you don't think about it.)

The game can still be frustrating at times, but I think they toned down some of the difficulty. Mainly with the items like the Green Balloon and that you can equip up to 3 items at once. (and giving mine carts and rocket barrels an extra hit)

If it helps anyone in this thread, I just posted my video review (channel in my sig).

The game is challenging, but never really cheap. It's old-school Nintendo games in action

As much as I love this game, I was hoping for more variety from the bonus levels.

I think this game is much more difficult than DKCR. I'm only ast World 3 but I troubles all the time and couldn't collect most puzzle pieces. The bosses are much harder that's for sure. But it's all passable, just the collecting is difficult.

"Dubs Goes to Washington: The Video Game".

Adam

I like that approach. I try to collect collectibles, but if they aren't required, I don't mind skipping them to save myself from throwing the controller through the screen.
