I refuse to watch that video I don't want to spoil too much for myself

I've been excited for this game for a couple months, and that excitement increases every time we get new info, screens, videos, etc. MK8 and Smash get a lot of the headlines, but this game is going to be a great 2014 release for Nintendo!

So we're never going to get to play as anybody other than DK if we're playing it in single player?

If so, that really really sucks. Why even bother announcing new playable characters if there's a good chance we can't use them.

You're basically going to be using them.. just not playing as them. I know what you mean though, it'd be nice to actually play as them in single player.

Anyways, this game is looking pretty good so far. I have it preordered so I'll be getting it whenever it comes in the mail.. I have to say though, those screenshots look amazing. The gameplay videos.. not so much. Hopefully when playing the game it comes through as good looking as those screenshots.

I think it's going to be one of those games where you don't really get to appreciate the lovely graphics until you have it on your TV. The recent gameplay vids look fun though, albeit very similar to the last game..

You can see how great it looks in motion by looking at videos from E3. The trailers don't do it justice.

@cookiex and @JonnyKong Agreed. This game looks hecka gorgeous on a television. I got a feeling most of the prettiest games on Wii U will be first party. Nintendo knows how to make a pretty game... glances at Super Mario 3D World, Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart 8, Pikmin 3, and now Donkey Kong U.

I am really excited for DKCTF and was wondering if anyone knows how many levels Nintendo have shown off so far. I think it is between 10-12?

I have no doubt that it will look good once I have it on my TV, I'm just surprised by the huge difference in quality with the pictures/videos.

Only 6 worlds....? That's kind of a letdown. Like you said, I hope there are a lot of levels. There will probably be a bonus world after completing the collectibles and/or finishing the main game. I'd like to think so anyway..

If you look at what I put in post 371,

It says 6 Islands.

6 to 7 levels per island, a bonus and a boss stage.

So we still have about, 35 unseen levels to play which is fine by me as they usually have a nice length to them. (that's what she said).

The silhouette levels were honestly my favorite part about the original.

Day one buy for me, no doubt. Can't wait!

This game is going to be incredible, I’ve always loved the general theme and variety of environments in the Donkey Kong Country series.

That would be awesome if they incorporated an overworld like Donkey Kong Country 3 (with the swimming, boats, and helicopters, etc.)

One of the best looking video games I have ever seen and that is my impressions from the screenshots only. Looking forward to seeing this on my TV!
