I actually don't mind the Marvel characters (supposedly theres also supposed to be Star Wars and Muppet characters coming out also, I'm guessing Infinity 3 to correspond with Star Wars 7) what bugged me was that they were only doing current characters from the CG movies and none of the hand drawn characters, but looking at the line up its more of the synergy stuff of promoting current movies and DVD releases, I'm glad though we are getting Aladdin, Jasmine and Donald Duck now. Although I saw the Aladdin & Jasmine figures on the day that Robin Williams died and the absence of the Genie was kind of glaring, but I understand it since that decision was made long before.

They look really cool. Only thing I'm a bit upset about is that it appears they'll be the only figures for Big Hero 6. I was really hoping that the other 4 members would be playable too. Just seems to make sense in terms of how Disney Infinity has been treating superhero teams. They have figures for all members of the Avengers, all members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and all members of the Incredibles (except Jack Jack, but he's just a baby so that's understandable). So why not all members of Big Hero 6?

Do they have a playset or will they only be playable in the Toy Box?

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Now I'm stuck over whether I want to get the PS4 version, or the Wii U version. I have 1.0 on Wii U, but my biggest issue with the game is that it lags often while in some of the playsets, or in the toy box. I think that getting the PS4 version will remedy most of this, but I kind of want to stick with having all the Infinity games on one system. On the other hand though, the game looks even prettier on PS4, and creating larger toyboxes sounds awesome!

Is it kind of sad that I'm hyped up for this game as much as Smash Bros? I've been playing Smash since Melee released, and I've waited almost 8 years for Smash 4, but holy crap Disney 2.0 looks amazing with the Marvel Superheroes! I'm a huge fan of Marvel, so I'm very impressed. I've got Smash pre-ordered and paid for though, so I guess I'm getting Disney for Christmas.

So the game is out this Friday here in the uk and so far I haven't seen or heard a review for the game .. Is that slightly worrying as in years gone by, no review this close to release would normally indicate the game is rubbish, or are things different these days??

Depends on how publishers set their embargoes. In this instance, I imagine reviews will come later this week in time for the European and American launches. You won't find many impressions before then, but as far as the quality of the game is concerned, I wouldn't worry much.

HELP!!!

I purchased Infinity 2.0 yesterday for my little man. But the Infinity 1 characters wont work on it.
They come up on the screen but then it says they aren't compatible. Can someone please help me and explain what i'm doing wrong?

I have a sad little man that can't play his old characters any more. The reason we changed to Infinity 2 was because the disc for Infinity 1 not longer worked. Which was very disappointing in its self as there seemed to be nothing wrong with it

Please Help

Just in case anyone here still wanted to get this its being reported that the WII U version has the lowest resolution even the Xbox 360 and PS3 have a better resolution, hopefully it doesn't also have frame rate issue's but not a good sign..... might be best to pick it up on another platform.

Isn't Infinity 1 available as a free download on the eShop? That would solve part of your problems.

Yes I tried to download it for free on Wii U but PilksUK is correct. I can't get it here in Australia
So frustrated. Disney Infinity has emailed saying they can only work in Toy Box mode. Pretty crap tho

If you guys learn of when we can download 1 for free here in Australia i would love to hear!

Thanks

@Sueade I remember reading somewhere a tweet from Disney Infinity UK team saying they may role it out for free to the UK/Europe early next year normally Australia shares a similar release schedule to the UK.

But yeah you can only use the 1.0 toys in the toy box as the Marvel playsets are being kept Cannon and you wouldn't find Alladdin or other Disney characters running around in a Marvel comic, In fact not all the Marvel toys work in all the Marvel playsets for this reason.

This chart is helpful http://www.iheartinfinity.com/disney-infinity-character-compa...

Thank you PilksUK that is very helpful. We will be hanging onto the Infinity 1 game pieces in hope they do release it free here. If not we will see if we can pick the game CD up cheap one day. My little man is loving the Infinity 2 set tho and brought more characters today.
I have to thank you for the chart as we got extremely confused on which characters worked with which set today. So thanks

Sort performance review of the WII U version as I gave up trying to play it.

WII U - Frame Rate Issue's/Freezing and blurry resolution

So I've played for about 2 hours on the WII U in that time I have noticed huge frame rate drops witch make the game unplayable at times or even just freeze the game and I have to perform a hard reset on the console.

Everything looks blurry! the font on the menu's are hard to read in area's as they are quite blurry I'm putting this down to the resolution the game is out putting at and my WII U and TV stretching it to fit a normal HD TV.

On another note compared to the PS3 version you get lower quality textures, jagged edge's, shorter draw distance and the lighting is awful compared to the PS3 version which I have played and it is light years better, the WII U version is just shocking at how bad it is!!

Its seems all they did was port it over found out it had frame rate issues so dropped the resolution, textures, draw distance and lighting till they got what they considered an acceptable frame rate. shoved the mission log and a few more things on the gamepad job done.

No excuse for the PS3 version to be better than the WII U given the better hardware in the WII U.

Thanks a lot for the info on this! I had kept my eyes open on DI 2.0 for a possible buy for Christmas, but with such a bad port I'll pass on this title.
