90? I'm not too surprised but that's pretty great for Metacritic recently. I can only name a handful of games in the past year to get that high a score.
ok great use of the gamepad, but honestly i'm not a huge fan of the gamepad in general.
so, since the game is coming out for ps3/x360 and can be played off-tv, can i play it with the pro controller? i've already read in a review that wiimote+nunchuk is not supported, but i can't find any info on the pro controller support.
i bought it. didn't like it. sold it. bought blacklist instead, great game.
deus ex doesn't support the pro controller and it doesn't have multiplayer, online or bots.
Why has NL not reviewed this? A third-party game that's a good conversion, makes good use of the gamepad and is released at a good price and it doesn't get a review. Very poor.
I bought this yesterday (cost very little in Europe, btw) after having bought the original on Steam a while back for pretty much nothing (like $2). It's good, and the gamepad was beautifully integrated. Seriously, even with offscreen play, the gamepad has touch controls exactly where they should be.
Only thing is that I've noticed a few framerate issues. I was running this on high settings on my 6 year old gaming PC, and this one has some noticeable framerate drops from time to time, regardless of what's happening on screen. Also, the graphics are on the same level as my old PC (which was not on max graphics).
It doesn't feel like a sloppy port, by any means, I just don't see why there would be any framerate dips if the graphics aren't maxed out. But, minor complaints. It's still fun
New name, same game.

Hi all,
I just received my xbox360 copy of this game, as some might have heard, the Xbox360, PS3 and PC ports of the director's cut were badly put together,
the xbox360 copy won't even install both of the two discs to HDD, which is something all Xbox360 games have nowdays.
I've heard the PC and PS3 copies have many major issues as well, including, sound problems, textures not showing up right and bad framerate on the PC copies.
As I live in Australia, the only copy of the Director's Cut that is available to retail stores is the Wii U version (thats why I had to import my xbox copy), I'm wondering, does the Wii U version suffer from any of the problems in the other 3 platform release of this game?
I'll Trade it in an instant if the Wii U copy is clear of any of the issues.

Short answer, No issues really with the WiiU version, in fact it is considered the best version.
Sorry you had to put up with all that mess, I would see if there is some way you could return/exchange as broken for a WiiU version.
Also wondering, if you have a WiiU, and have access to the WiiU but had to import the 360 version, why? Was it even cheaper after importing?

At the moment my main platform is the xbox 360, that's why I per-ordered it on there and yeah, it was cheaper to import the 360 copy.
My Wii U games library is certainly getting bigger though, also got my sights on a few upcoming titles too.
My main gripe with the Wii U Director's Cut was no pro controller support, don't get me wrong, I love the game pad, but I wish the option was there to use the pro controller, I love the design and feel of that controller and wished more Wii U games supported it.
I guess regardless of that, I'd rather a perfect working copy than a broken half-finished Port, hoping I can get most of my money back on it when i trade it for the Wii U copy

You are right. It would have been nice if they would have had some sort of notification, to let people know that a review is being worked on at least. The problem is that Metacritic for some reason does not count any review as applicable to the Wii U, so there are actually no reviews for AC IV or Batman: Arkham Origins. With Deux EX there are actually reviews and no reviews for the other versions, because everyone played the game on the definitive version, the one it was made for, but still, it's big games without reviews here. I think Nintendo Life has no time or interest in doing such reviews... maybe they're too busy with doing Push Square or something It was foreseeable.
The Wii U version is fantastic, a few frame drops here and there but nothing major. As far as 3rd party releases go I'd put it right up there with Rayman Legends, NFSMWU and MH3U.
Just found out today that the full strategy guide for the game in on the gamepad, and this is only on the WiiU. I know, I know, you can use gamefaqs and the internet, but it is really nice to have it in game, pop it up and figure out anything you need to when you are stuck. This is a great feature on top of everything else.
