Topic: Darksiders 2 anyone?

I have this game in my Steam Library. Played it for about an hour, wasn't really hooked, was distracted by the god-awful texture work. Moved onto something else. If you really want to play the game and have a decent PC? The thing is regularly under $5US. Given that's what I spent on it I can't complain. I wouldn't recommend paying full RRP though. There are far better games out there.

I actually preferred the first one myself. The world in the second one felt so lifeless. A+ for art style though.

Anyway, I bought it when it was on sale on the Wii U eShop a while back. Haven't played much of it, but the little bit i have played was pretty great. I'll get to it eventually...

I actually found both games used later on 360. That was before it was cheap on Wii U obviously. Only played part of 1, should get back to it. It's more of a hack n slash/spectacle fighter and only the first big dungeon has felt significantly Zelda-like so far tbh, but it's fun.

I know I'm way late to this party, but I finally got around to playing this game and it is really great. It froze on me once, and there's some other minor glitches, but other than that it's pretty awesome. If anyone is on the fence on getting this game I highly recommend it. Plus, it's really cheap.

I find it an incredibly good game whilst playing it but it's not a game that I find myself ever eager to play again once I've stopped. Weird phenomena.

If you can find it, I've order 3/4 times from various places only to have it cancelled because there's no stock (from THQ going belly up) I suppose I could get it used but I prefer to buy games new due to a stupid theory of supporting games I like and my purchase matters.

The Wii U version already was the weakest version, and now there's definite edition coming to PS4 and XB1, so there's even more reason to not get it on Wii U if you have the option.

That's not a stupid theory at all. Voting with your money is one of the biggest influences individual people have in the modern world! I would argue it's more powerful than voting in elections. Although that's certainly controversial.

How so? Seems pretty fine to me and is the only version that has the DLC included. It's also the version with the highest metacritic rating.

Darksiders 2 was really bad on Wii U. Weird controls and the bad graphics. I sold it for the PS3 version. Was totally much better. Also, I find it odd that Darksiders 1 wasn't remade with it's sequel. Bayonetta 1 was remade for Wii U, why not Darksiders 1?

@NightmareEater: Simple, Darksiders 2 is a multiplatform game whereas Bayonetta 2 is a Wii U exclusive.

I've given up on waiting for a new copy to turn up somewhere or a digital sale so I've just won an used copy on ebay for £9.48. Since I've been waiting to get this for about 2ish years now I'm almost certain it'll disappoint me when I do play but it's the closest thing to Zelda U.

So the Xbox version looks best. Not much difference though.

Did you read it sideways? It clearly says "In the final analysis, the PS3 version remains the most impressive version of the game with higher-quality textures in places and superior performance, followed by the 360 release, while the Wii U sits in last place. ". The Wii U version looks the worst and has worse performance that at times influences the gameplay in a bad way(10fps drop over the other versions in big enviroments).

Not seeing a texture quality difference between xbox and ps3. And I've yet to encounter these frame drops on the Wii U version. Although I haven't got too far on the Wii U version yet.

Was playing this again a few days ago...game froze a few times, sad that it won't be fixed.
