I think it's around the 20-30 hours mark.

I would advise not to play this on "normal" difficulty since it's way too easy. I had to play the first 2 dungeons all over again because it wasn't motivating me at all to continue and play the game. be warned

It's a much bigger game than I thought it would be. I figured it would be linear like God of War or Dante's Inferno, but it's a massive RPG. I'm putting off playing it until I've had more time with Assassin's Creed 3 and Mass Effect 3. What time I have had with it was wonderful, though.

so i bit the bullet and purchased darksiders 2 the other day.

and my gosh... while the game has the potential to be good, the obvious lack of play testing puts me off.
(and before i go on these issues are in all versions of the game that i have seen/ read)

Screen tears:
Good gosh, in the first scene were you meet the anti hero/hero, you are met with screen tears. I would understand if it was later in the game that these accord and that is why the game went onto store shelves as such. But no. you only have to play about five minutes to notice.

Chugging:
This also happened very early, it is noticeable. once again, did The people at virgil games/thq do any play testing?

besides that the game so far is pretty good. It just surprises me that any company would release a game and not bother to fix these problems before shipping it out.... I would hate for my game that I worked so hard on to get into the hands of the customer, only for it to be riddled with obvious bugs.

Maybe devs these days are too dependent on patches... and that worries me. (If I wasn't a perfectionist that notices little things like that I know I wouldn't be ranting lol)

Well, don't even try to play Bethesda games.

or Assassin's Creed 3.

Or every other open world game of the past few years (barring maybe Rockstar's games).

I actually wanted this game but the dark theme and blood just was not for me... either way great effort from THQ.. hopefully the franchise can stay afloat for another installment..

Didn't the PC version have screen-tearing problems until they patched it? Maybe they'll do the same thing with the Wii U version.

I am wanting to get Darksiders 2 for the Wii U, but right now, I'm not sure since Steam has both that (with all the DLC) and the original Darksiders bundled together for only $20. The cheapest I could find the Wii U version was $50.

So I got the Wii U version for Christmas. I must say, I'm really enjoying it. My parents have been watching James Bond movies on one TV while my brother plays Black Ops 2 on the other, so it's nice that I can play the game on my bed (which I'm kind of surprised that it even works. I must be lucky to have pretty thin walls).

Also, dat music.

I have a bit of a silly question. I'm early on in this game and love it. I just added a skill on the skill tree, but don't know how to use it. It says to hit the down button and then assign the skill, but when I hit ht Esdorn button nothing happens. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but if someone could tell me how this works I'd really appreciate it.

moomoo

@Skoman Hm, that's odd. It's been working fine for me. All you do is press the down button and then a circle shows up. Once there, you can assign skills by pressing L+Face button.

Thanks moomoo. It was the pressing of the L button that I wasn't doing. I'm not home now, but I'll try it when I get home. You mean pressing the L button and not the L joy stick though, right?
