you should check your laptop. i have no idea how mac things handle but a pc should have a better browser than the wiiU if the pc works right nad it is organized well
Wii U browser is pretty fast. And because it doesn't have flash support it also avoid a huge speed problem that the internet suffer nowadays: flash ads.
Actually I've found that the Wii U is great for sites like YouTube and KissAnime, the videos look great and load extremely fast. I love the Wii U browser, its shockingly very good.

I use it 99% of the time as well. Of course that's also because I'm otherwise relegated to an ancient Windows XP PC since I can't afford my own laptop yet.
@skywake Like I said before, I HAVE NO MONEY. Plus my parents refuse to buy me one. So until I eventually manage to get a job, I'm stuck with what I've got.
It's fast, but I find a staggering number of youtube videos won't play on it, especially if you want to watch music videos. I guess it thinks it's a mobile device??
@Howard24U The Youtube app is the same as other 'smart' or 'portable' YouTube apps, where they show you what's popular and new; what has the most plays.
I've never actually tried watching Youtube, from the site via Wii U browser, but I have noticed — when using it — it's a very smooth loading time. I always watch the Nintendo Directs, from my Wii U first!

I don't think the hardware of the computer effects the speed of the internet as long as you're just browsing. I browse just as fast on a 10 year old laptop with XP than on a new computer. What people are referring to is the seamless responsive Wii U browser, which is super comfortable.
