I agree with the article.
Although many people dislike the COD series, this is a plus for nintendo as far as third party support.
If all holds up, Ghost will be available for WiiU first then the ps4 and XBoxOne. Thats a big deal. People buy systems for that reason alone

Actually Nov. 5th is when Xbox One supposedly launches, but the Wii U version is supposed to launch along side the others on the same day.

Also, Infinity Ward is most likely just coming up with ways to use the GamePad and use Nintendo's system, otherwise, it's the same game according to the article.

COD Ghosts hasn't been confirmed by Activision, it's also not on retailers lists like the other versions. I also have a feeling COD Ghosts is not getting released for Wii U, especially after reading this. The big 3 publishers are out not supporting the Wii U.

That said, another major game publisher — Activision — has nothing planned for the Wii U. Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg told GamesIndustry.biz that his company has "no announcements now" about upcoming Wii U games.

That quote is just as vague. Why would Official Nintendo Magazine make stuff up out of the blue?
Perhaps there is no proof it will be coming to the Wii U(if you don't believe this article), but there is also a lack of proof that it isn't.

We already know you don't care about Wii U, so why do you linger in the Nintendo forums?

How is that quote vague? Activision are tell you thay have no Wii U game announcements now, and i think i believe the Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg of Activision. The publishers that release these games, over a Nintendo magazine who has nothing to do with publishing games whats so ever.

Unllike you i can see Nintendo are not on forum, and i'm not going to lie to myself & others that Nintendo doing a excellent job of things, when a complete idiot can see otherwise.

I was just reading this. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/488014/20130709/ea-ubisoft-...

Eric Hirschberg has said Activision now has no further plans for Wii U games.

"We came to the table with a robust slate," said Hirshberg, Activision's president. "But we have no announcements now."

That tells me that COD Ghost is not coming to the Wii U. If it was coming don't you think Activision would of announced it by now. I hope I am wrong I don't like COD anymore but at least its a game people will enjoy on the Wii U.

From the same article apparently UBISOFT the biggest support of the Wii U are going to re-evaluate the Wii U after Christmas 2013. I personally think the Wii U will struggle this Christmas with the PS4 and Xbox One launching in November I really do. Again I hope I am wrong but I really do think Nintendo will struggle. So if Nintendo do have a poor Christmas or not a lot of Ubisoft Wii U titles get sold then Ubisoft may stop making Wii U games.

Then there is a comment from EA Peter Moore pretty much saying the Wii U online experience is not good and the Wii U almost feels like a offline console.

Every Nintendo game is a sequel, they only make the same 8-10 games with slightly better graphics and a lil twist on gameplay for every console and always the same story for most of the games like princess being rescued, so how can a Nintendo fan complain about sequels lol.

I think its more that a big amount of Nintendo players are really bad at multiplayer competitive games since Nintendo is just starting to use the internet in their games, so they don't like competitive games like FPS, sports, etc.

Ugh, I hate FPS in general. Have them an honest try, after a few games became my most hated genre. I'm thankful if this comes to the Wii U because its simply more options, but I hate COD and most of its fanbase more.

B*****ks, its called a series for a reason. There is going to be some similarities and some games such as Mario don't focus on story anyway. As for the online thing, that's just insulting. I'm horrible at fighting games but I love them. Nintendo fans generally just have different tastes, like how they are more likely to like Japanese games. I hate FPS because I think they are boring, not because Im not good at them. I hate this line of reason because by that logic most fans wouldn't like SSB.

Well, Wii U needs this game, and needs that sales well. I didn't like the fps, but I hope that would be released in Wii U and a lot of people buy it.

That statement doesn't make no sense, so if your not a Nintendo fanboy you don't like games like Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Ni No Kuni, Malicious, Sine Mora, Kindom of Hearts etc. When non of these games are not even on a Nintendo system [console], not only that a lot of excellent japanese games don't make it over here. You can import them easily but not an a Nintendo system [console] as it's region locked. And a lot of playstation gamers have japanese PSN accounts. I could go on to argue there is more diversify of games on a Playstation console, than what thay'll ever will be on a Wii U. But apparently there is only FPS & Driving games on a Playstation console, yah you keep-on telling yourself that.

I preferred CoD Black Ops 2 on the Wii U (Also own it on Xbox 360 and PC) just for the flexibility and local co-op (where one player uses TV, other gamepad). Also love the offscreen play. I will be getting CoD Ghosts on WiiU also.

Meh. I could care less is COD is on the Wii U.
I don't hate COD, it's just not something I jump up for every
year when a new one comes out. Last one I got was WAW...

It's nice the Wii U is getting more 3rd party support, but the
3DS needs some attention, too! (At least a little more.)

I'm excited, but I'll wait a bit before getting this. Usually when I buy games in a series, there's a few years between releases where I can milk all I can out of one game before the next one comes to continue my enjoyment. Like Twilight Princess to Skyward Sword and Pokemon Diamond to HeartGold. This game coming out less than a year after Black Ops II is too soon for me. The same goes for Assassin's Creed IV. I'll get them later, but it's too soon for me to get them launch day.

I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite

It's great news for the WiiU but it doesn't interest me.

Call of Duty online has always been a social game for me. I don't know anybody with a WiiU to play online with.
Secondly, since MW2, The infinity Ward developed games have been lackluster. Unless this is an improvement, I can't see myself buying it.

@kyuubikid213 You do realize that Pokemon has been a yearly release in the west since Platinum, right?
I do agree about breathing room for a series, but a year is quite a while for a lot of people. If that's enough time for them to want another, then why shouldn't publishers make yearly sequels?

Best thread ever

Seriously? 3DS has ALL the attention as of right now Nintendowise.
By the way, if most of you saying "probably will not get it ever" have some extra cash lying around at some point you should buy it just to support Online 3rd party games . Haha!

I'm not saying they SHOULDN'T. I'm just saying it's too soon for ME.

It's just that, since I got a job, I am able to expand my gaming library more than when I was younger. And now that I have the money to get more games and take more risks, I play more games more frequently.

When I was younger and I could wear a game down in a month or two, I would welcome a yearly release without question.

Now, I can get a ton of games and a year isn't really enough time for me to really get the feel of the last game to be stale enough that I want the sequel just yet.

In case all of that ended up being more random than I intended... I don't mind yearly releases. I just won't buy a game from the same series once a year unless it really draws me in, like most of the Pokemon series, or the previous title was... Not filling enough, like Pokemon White in particular.
