Nope, TVii is a Nintendo app. As far as I'm aware it's just a glorified tv guide.
The BBC iplayer is independently run by the BBC.
Also, I'm suprised it's taken so long, I've been looking forward to this for a while.

Oh good, I thought they had forgotten it. I have a computer hooked up to my TV, but I find this kind of thing much easier to use via a dedicated app, so I'm more likely to make use of it on the Wii U.

Yeah, I never thought this was coming, I believe the other consoles already have this?

Probably won't use it much, but nice to know it's there, maybe when Sherlock airs in 2016. xD
