Yeah I suggested this a little while ago, I thought it was a good idea initially
You wouldn't need any extra peripherals though, just the gamepad as the bottom screen and the TV as the top screen
After thinking for a little bit I realized that if Nintendo wanted to make the game available for both systems they would (like the next Smash Bros.)...so I think it's very VERY unlikely that we'll see 3DS titles on the Wii U. They make them exclusive to the 3DS because they probably feel that the game does not have enough content to be a console game? I'm not really sure what their reasoning is.. cough*money*cough
i think we should be able to play wii u 2 games on the wii u, this way you dont have to buy a wii u 2!

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
Ability to play 3DS games on Wii U with 3DS as a remote? Maybe no 3D for 3DS games on Wii U but the 3DS games on Wii U will become HD. Good idea! Too bad I already thought of something even better: the Wii U Portable peripheral.
Games I'm playing currently: Legend of Zelda: A Link Betweeen Worlds, Tearaway
Games I'm excited for: Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros. 4, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8

Become HD as in increase the resolution, and expose the low-res textures and low-poly models for what they really are?
Lots of censorship here...

True. That's why Wii U portable peripheral is a better idea. :3

Nintendo sure would make money off of this, and it would solve game drought.(btw, how would you put a cartridge in.)
Current game standing
1–nintendo
2–sony
3–who even cares about them
The problem with making ports of great 3DS games is that they were designed with a portable console in mind. Not so much controls or visual quality because you can improve them in an enhanced port but the general pacing. The best portable games take into account the fact that you don't want to be playing it for hours. That doesn't translate well when playing it on the TV.
That said I remember spending hours playing Super Mario Land 2 and Donkey Kong Country on my Super Gameboy back in the day.

Then again the Wii U Gamepad has lesser battery time then the 3DS
But yes, you are correct. One can feel a difference in the "core" that a game is designed for a lesser platform but then again even the handheld games today are pretty advanced so i dont see it as a problem.
Nintendo wont do it they want to sell two SEPERATE systems although they have spoke of connectivity between the two which would be nice most games they released on 3ds shouldve been on wii u especially Luigis Mansion Dark Moon
Not gonna happen. The 3DS resolution is specifically suited for its screens. The bottom screen doesn't match the aspect ratio, 3D TVs are rare for consumers, and it would take ALOT more than just porting. This only goes for games not already on Wii U. It could be possible that they port the console version to 3DS, but not the other way around(portable to console).
Just because Capcom is doing it, doesn't make it a smart move.
Cross-play could happen, but it will always be based off the console version first. At least that's how it should be.
