The Indie game was more interesting than what they showed. They barely showed anything on the more interesting games, and filled the whole event with FIFA and co.

I actually think applying Triforce Heroes' co-op to the traditional formula could be an interesting addition to the main series. Having extra players to help you could help make exploring that massive overworld more manageable, and the puzzles get a lot more interesting when you need multiple players to solve them. I'm not sure that that's what they're doing though.

Sorry, forgot to add it would be a lot more linear and more action based rather than exploration based.

Well that's already an impossibility considering the massive overworld we have now.

That was scrapped

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

  • Titanfall 2 was neat.
  • Madden, bleh.
  • Mass Effect was ok.
  • Fifa, interesting.
  • EA Originals... that sounds like a label for retro games being re-released.
  • Star Wars... less then I would've liked, but the early footage from Visceral looked good.
  • Battlefield 1. meh.

If they had less sports and more... other stuff, it would've been a lot better.

Fixed it for you lol (and I am not even into Fifa, but that single-player stuff got my interest)

I think they legit showed like two seconds of possible gameplay for Star Wars in the whole conference.

Yeah there wasn't much SW gameplay, I caught a second here and there, but I have to wonder how much of that was actual gameplay, as most of those games won't be out anytime soon.

Didn't watch EA's conference. It looks like they had exactly what I expected: Titanfall 2, Mass Effect Andromeda, and Battlefield 1, with lots of sports to fill in the gaps. Far less Star Wars than expected though. So a bad conference.

On a side note, I feel bad for Microsoft. They've had three of their major announcements leaked.

EA's conference exists because EA wants a press conference. I'm not convinced they have a single other reason for continuing to do so every year.

Quake Champions announced. PC only though. Seems to be targeting that Overwatch crowd.

Bethesda's conference was good. They showed a lot of things, but sadly I'm not interested in most of them, bar maybe Dishonored 2. So far, the past two conferences were allergic to showing gameplay. We saw only a bit from EA and we only saw a decent chunk from 1 game from Bethesda.

I wonder if it will be multiplater only or if it will have a single player

Bethesda's press conference reminded me of games I need to get, but didn't get me too excited about anything in particular. Still better than EA's lol

No one's talking about Fe? The most interesting-looking game of E3 so far... and that came from EA.

God first.

Looks interesting but it didn't really excite me. I need to see more of it

According to Pro Jared's youtube channel, Nintendo is not doing an announcement at E3.

@Octane Lol. Totally agreed. They managed to suck any hype out of anything (and the Fifa segment was far too long!)

I find it difficult that they won't have any announcements at E3. They still have things to show off with Legend of Zelda. Pokemon Sun & Moon info to announce. The Pokemon Go segment will probably announce a release date. There will be announcements, just maybe not new game announcements (still find that slightly unlikely, 3DS or Wii U could get a small announcement)

Though I wasn't planning to, I ended up watching both the Bethesda & EA conferences, since my bro went to bed early.

Bethesda: I'm not against mature/gory games or anything (have actually enjoyed a number of them, infact), but for some reason, there was just something about their lineup that just put me off for some reason (like the close range assassination kills in Dishonored 2, for example, which made me squirm). I will say however, that one device in Dishonored 2 that let you see into the past (or future) in real time was quite nifty (if Nintendo could find a way to implement something like that into Zelda, it could really shake up the past/future two world structure).

EA: They actually had a few games that caught my attention, such as Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, and Fe (though the aesthetic in that last one looked like it could be disorientating), but it somehow managed to drag & feel dull most of the time (especially that soccer section).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Grumblevolcano

I'm glad I didn't watch Bethesda live as the only reason I was going to watch it wasn't streamed.

Nerd Leaks apparently knows the full contents of Microsoft's E3 conference.

Some of their biggest announcements were already leaked, including the Xbox One S.
