Topic: E3 2016 Speculation/Predictions

@Grumblevolcano: A Direct that happens more than a month before E3? I don't think so.

The only reason to have a Direct right now is if Nintendo wants the Digital Event to be a Legend of Zelda Digital Event, in which they only show Zelda and nothing else, playable or not.

@Grumblevolcano: It could be just a private event. I don't think they have enough games to fill a Direct. It's best that they save everything they have left for E3.

Turns out that event is for a wedding. Interesting choice of place to hold a wedding.

I would've loved to have had my wedding there. My wife, not so much.

My Wife and I would have loved it, but no way we could have afforded it.

Even as someone who loves games and Nintendo, that's still not the first place I'd choose to hold my wedding. Wouldn't be opposed to it however.

@Whitewatermoose: That's a rumor. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

After last year's burn and the already disappointing news coming from this E3, It's getting really hard to be optimistic and even expect anything outside of Zelda. This is sad, too, as I am a huge nintendo fan and have always remained optimistic about their future. Hopefully they surprise us this year and pull out the big guns. They've been missing those for a while

@Whitewatermoose: I'm leaning towards it being fake as the "January" patch that was meant to fix online and some other stuff still hasn't come out.

Welp, there's no digital event. Just a Treehouse Live stream which will just be Zelda U...

Ninty games on other consoles is a bad idea.

Reggie just needs to make sure he waxes before the Microsoft stage to leave a good impression.

I am still holding out hope for a Direct, even if it is short or a couple of days late. Just something to update all of us about current projects, maybe one final big push for Metroid.

Back in 2012, they announced the 3DS XL and the FE: Awakening localization a week after E3, so I believe the direct with the unannounced 3DS games will come some weeks or a month after E3.

My guess, if they really do skip doing a Direct for E3, is they feel it would be redundant information. they show all this stuff in the E3 Direct, then go over the information again with the Treehouse Live stuff. maybe they are wanting their Treehouse Live stuff to take over their E3 Direct... but that just seems like a bad move. Treehouse Live is always happening while most "news" sites are visiting other booths, meaning Treehouse Live won't be covered as much as the E3 Direct would be.

Still hoping for a E3 Direct to be announced. I remember last year they were one of the last ones to announce and even had to ask Square Enix to push back theirs to give the Direct more time... We will see what happens

EDIT: I went to the Nintendo E3 site and have given up hope for a Direct. I thought Tuesday at 9am was the normal time for their Direct, which is when they are going to be starting the Treehouse Live stuff. Well... we will see how the Treehouse Live does this year... hopefully it is good enough

Welp...looks like this E3 is actually going to be boring. :/

@Megumi_Sagano: I think E3's going to be fine, just not the Nintendo side of it. I'm excited for the Microsoft conference, Ubisoft conference and getting new info for certain non-Nintendo games I'm excited for.

Meh...I'm just in it for Nintendo...screw Ubisoft and EA...Microsoft and Sony always bore me...so, yeah. :c
