For any of you out there, Emily Rogers wrote this feature not too long ago which expresses her views on Nintendo's 2014 Wii U line-up and her concerns. I am recently worried at the line-up and the Wii U can't lose any momentum especially in its current position. Have a read and express your opinions. Im quite intrigued on what you think what will happen in 2014.
I can see where Emily Rogers is coming from. I think Nintendo needs to make getting Mario Kart 8 released in March their top priority. Plus, SSB MUST come out next year.
Miyamoto said that there will be a free-to-play Steel Diver game on Wii U in early 2014, ao thats an extea thing to look forward to. And he said that by Mario Kart 8's release, there will be a strong line up of games coming out on a monthly basis for Wii U.
Not to mention Iwata stating how there are several new games coming, but won't be revealed until we get closer to their release date to prevent the competition from imitating.

the problem is that we only have donkey kong for now... anything else we have no clue about. we don't even know anything about Yarn Yoshi!
I think people worry way to much about this kind of stuff. I don't really care about what games I can anticipate for 6 + months. For me it's all about the present and the near future to an extent. If you keep worrying about the future the next thing you know is that you find yourself in a nursing home unable to bathe yourself and realize that you don't have much of a future left. I'm currently enjoying Wind Waker HD and after that I will be playing Super Mario 3d World. I'm happy and content with this and not sweating beyond that.
To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.
What Would Duane Do? Rynoggery
He was just saying that because he wants Nintendo to be known as blatent liars, now. I mean, it would be great for business, right?
I haven't even begun to grab everything I still want from 2012, or 2013 for that matter. Has it occurred to anyone that not every game that will be released in the future is available for consideration? To say nothing of the ones in developement that are kept hush-hush until the 'time is right'? Or the ones that wont appear on any radar until their very release window?
I'm not worried in the least. You only have to browse Miiverse to see that numbers, happiness, and confidence is rising. The future is a lot brighter for Wii U than many folks would like you to believe.
I'm not worried. It may not be some super long list of games, but the games included are likely good enough that they'll keep selling for months on end anyway, and the people owning won't stop playing them after the first month or so.
I'd be more worried about a boring lineup filled with a bunch of mediocre/'good' games than a more sparse one filled with likely classics.

Nintendo comes out with plenty of games at E3, few of them unannounced surprises. This is also the best time for people to pick up indie games to fill in the time for major releases, and then there are the 3rd party games.
I don't expect anything close to a drought like there was this summer. Will they have fewer releases than Sony and Microsoft? Most likely. Will there be no games available to play? absolutely not!
At least with Wii, I got along fine. I always have more games I want than my wallet allows. Sure Wii U will be fine in that regard. The thing about droughts is how many people buy more than 1 or 2 games per month for their console? The general public does not, and this is true for all consoles. This holiday lineup will keep most people busy at least until DK arrives. It's a non-issue for 90% of gaming populace.
