(didn't want to clutter the 3DS forum up with a VC related question)

I wouldn't. They're too dated now for me.

I enjoyed them originally but I doubt I would be able to anymore.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

If you could trade with friends then sure.

I might considering I never tried one before. Could be interesting.

I guess i would first have to really get into Sapphire and Diamond which i never have played that much yet.
But they could make it a good purchase when it's enabling wireless multiplayer mode and lets you use the Pokémons you catch in the DS games.

I'll stick with LeafGreen, and even if I was in the mood for ultra retro Pokémon, I'd just play my actual copy of Pokémon Yellow.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

I was just playing my Pokémon Yellow, and still very fun RPG game to play but,
I think there will be any chance to bring those old pokemon to the New Gen of Pokemon.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

I'd love to replay them in their original form. However, they'd have to add wirless trading and battles for it to be worth it, it'd be impossible to complete the Pokedex otherwise.

Wouldn't care about Gold & Silver or Ruby & Sapphire though.

Probably not since I still own my copy of Pokemon Red and Blue and a GBC. I never bought yellow since it was just a rehash of Red and Blue so I more than likely wont even buy that on the VC.

If I could transfer my pokemon to later pokemon games like my Heart Gold, then maybe.

I would more readily buy Pokemon Emerald though, because of the Hoenn pokemon, but ONLY IF I can transfer the pokemon to my more current games.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Probably not.

I already have the originals, and there have been a lot of welcome changes to the series, which would make it hard to go back to the basics.

I'm working on a game that's coming out soon!

You can. Use a DS / DS Lite (not DSi) to move them from Emerald to a 4th generation game, and then you can transfer them from the 4th gen game to Black/White if you want. If you also still want them on Emerald, just clone them with the Battle Frontier duplication glitch first.

No, I've got FireRed and LeafGreen and even the old Red cardridge still lying around.

I meant that i'm not really that much into Pokémon games. They just couldn't hold my interest for long yet.
The other thing is a bit of a theoretical scenario though.
1) Nintendo releases Red/Blue/Yellow on the 3DS' Virtual Console. (It has wireless mutliplayer modes.)
2) A brand-new Pokémon game for the 3DS is released.
3) This brand new Pokémon game can access the save file of your VC's Red/Blue/Yellow.
4 ) You can use the 'mons you've captured in Red/Blue/Yellow in the brand new 3DS game. Without the need to have any other Pokémon game than "Pokémon 3DS" and the VC-version of Red/Blue/Yellow.

I think there's no real excuse for not doing that. But i guess if they release Red/Blue/Yellow on the 3DS VC it will just be an isolated single player experience.

Well the whole point of yellow was to have a pikachu that followed you around and had a voice as well, but that's about it. Probably way better than the green version in japan.

If all 3 came out I would probably buy.........Red...no, Yellow......you know what, if they're cheap enough I may just get both

I honestly wouldn't. They are horribly outdated now
