What are the worst Zelda dungeons you've ever faced?
The Tower of Hera- In this dungeon, you have the disadvantage of falling through holes in the floor, especially when an enemy knocks you into it, after which the enemies reset. The boss is a simple giant moldorm, but you can easily fall off the battlefield, which resets the battle.
Palace of Darkness- it'd be a whole lot better if you could just warp to the boss instead of going through a whole rigamarole of getting past flying tiles, helmasaurs, and whatnot (that is, upon returning after a death).
Shadow Temple- it's long and boring
Forest Temple (TP)- it's long and boring, and saving the monkeys is a pain
Jabu Jabu- it serves no purpose other than getting the boomerang and saving Ruto
Earth God Temple- the Jabu Jabu of Wind Waker.
Temple of the Ocean King- only because you have to do it again and again and again
The Water Temple- it'd be a normal temple if 1) the iron boots were an item rather than clothing 2) there was an easier way to raise and lower the water level
Fire Temple/Goron Mines- falling in lava and getting hit by fire is hard to avoid. I found the autojump frustrating in GM. The Fire Temple was easy to fall several levels.
Forbidden Woods- I got horribly lost, more than once.
to this day, I never understood all the OoT Water Temple hate. the only reson I can think of is that the boots are not equippable items. could everyone wo lists that they hate it, please explain why? :/

The Fire Temple in OoT was always my favorite dungeon in the game, but I'm not sure why. I just like it for some reason.
It's not really the worst dungeon, but more could have been done with the Ice Cavern. I liked the Icy setting, and there could have been more interesting uses for the Blue Fire, as well as more interesting puzzles involving it. It was too short, and there was only one floor and no boss. It's also the only dungeon in OoT that contains a piece of heart. Why? Was there no better place to put it?
Bottom of the Well has some of the same problems as the Ice Cavern (no boss, too short), and 90% of it is optional. All you really NEED to do is get the Lens of Truth and get out.
I share your hate for the Forest Temple in Twilight Princess. I also hate a few of the dungeons in aLttP, the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time, and the mansion-maze in Twilight Princess as well.

...Okay...I never had a problem with the Water Temple whatsoever. And I suck at video games in general. I died a few times and spent a long time raising and lowering the water trying to figure out what to do. I don't know why you complain though, since it is supposed to be a puzzle. I have trouble with hard games, but I don't want my successes handed to me on a silver platter either. I appraise the Water Temple for its cleverness and its challenge. And I really liked the cool white void at the end.
Pfffft. The Water Temple is a classic! Shame on all of you for having opinions that I disagree with! Off the top of my head, I'm not a big fan of the first Forest Temple in Twilight Princess. It sort of takes awhile to get to the first dungeon in that game, and it wasn't a great way to kick things off after all the buildup. Not bad, necessarily, but not great.
The fifth dungeon in the first Legend of Zelda is pretty irritating--there are several rooms that are just filled with nothing but blue knights, and the expectations for defeating those guys are just ridiculous.
I can't decide how I feel about the Twilight Dungeon at the end of Twilight Princess. On one hand, it's a really cool dungeon, both conceptually and visually. On the other hand, it's a pretty off-putting location for a Zelda game, and Zant is easily the most disappointing boss fight ever.

The fifth dungeon in the original is bad too for the knights. I'm stuck there for that very reason. It has the flute, but until I can get past the knights, I can't get it.

Yep that place is a HUGE pain in the rump. There's a fairy fountain not too far from the dungeon, though, so next time you boot the game up go refill your health, maybe buy a potion, and it won't be too big of a problem. Thankfully once you beat them the whistle is easy to get, and the boss is a cinch.
@kkslider5552000 I seem to remember a dungeon where you're on a constantly moving platform and you have to hit these switches while avoiding these pointy things that hurt you. That's one of the most outrageously unfair parts of any game I've every played. Is that the dungeon you're talking about?
The water temple in Majora's Mask. For one, it's ginormous and complicated and for two, it's timed so you have very little margin for error as far as getting lost. If it hadn't been for an online walkthrough video, I likely wouldn't have made it through it.
Only reason I don't like the Water Temple is the boots thing...and Dark Link is a pain in the butt...other than that, yeah...its not that bad. >_>
Great Bay Temple on the other hand...I just hate it cause of Gyorg, lol. And I always hated that Ice Palace/Temple/whatever thing in ALttP for some reason.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
1. Having to pause to equip and dequip the iron boots 2. Having to raise and lower the water level, with only certain areas available to do so
It could have been worse.
Just because there's only 2 (of the many other reasons a.k.a the boss for an example), reasons doesn't mean their not very broken, annoying, and irritating things that can make the game feel less appreciated.
