Topic: Why I think Mario is better than Sonic

Can we just shut up? We ALL know every fu**ing person on Earth thinks Sonic is terrible in comparison to Mario, so why keep posting threads about this over and over? Great, you hate Sonic, good job, did you want a freaking medal or something?

Sonic might be cool again if they'd bring back the cute waitresses on roller skates.

I personally like mario better. I think the sonic games have been horrible as of late.
Also, I find the 3d mario games to be very diffferent, and the Sonic games to be rather repetitive.
Mario 64- Pretty generic. Bowser kidnapped peach, so you have to get power stars to save her.
Super Mario Sunshine - On a vacation, someone impersonates you and covers your destination in graffiti. You are sentenced to clean the island, but as you do, Peach is kidnapped.
Super Mario Galaxy - On the special day, Bowser takes peach's castle into space, and mario has to restore power to a galaxy-traveling ship in order to catch him.
Most of the sonic games - Eggman has made a new battalion of ships, and you have to find them and destroy them.

I guess I'm one of the few who liked Sonic Rush. Yeah, Sonic's 'tude could use a bit of an upgrade. That is, if the localization team had any cojones and imagination. Overall I still like Sonic, not more than Mario though. It's just that if he's still going to have that 80's attitude. The stories should at least follow suit by being lighthearted instead of, I don't know, an emo DBZ rip off every game.

I'm also one of the few who liked Sonic rush. I thought it was much better than most Sonic games.

Sonic has mediocre platforming and control, and the 'watching instead of actually controlling for the most part' blazing fast loop-de-loop gameplay is boring.

I managed to finish Sonic 1 and 2 back in the genesis days, along with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2....along with Sonic Rush. And i'm sry but these games have absolutely nothing on Mario. Sonic was supposed to be more bad ass and faster...yet his 'speedy' gameplay isn't even controllable...I'm not a Sonic fan as you can tell. Mega Man on the other hand, OH YES!

You know who did it better back on the Genesis than Sonic? Rocket Knight Adventures! classic

I think they should make a good Sonic game that pokes fun at his recent crappy games. They should display him as a recovering alcoholic and his alcoholism was the reason for his bad games. Sort of like a Conker's Bad Fur Day Sonic.

Back on topic though I like Mario more because it's more about exploration and skill and the controls are always perfection. My favorite Sonic games were the first two by far (3 & Knuckles are good but the levels were out of control and huge). Sonic has always been a shallower game (I want to go fast) despite still being very good in the early days. Adventure I never got into because I found the controls to be a pain and I felt if I wanted to go fast in 3D I'd play a racing game.

Before playing super smash bros brawl: I'm not interested in sonic.I like more Mario
After playing super smash bros brawl: I &$%&% hate sonic. Mario is 100,000,000,000,000,000,000, better than sonic.
