I'm assuming it's a trick statement as it being a completely serious statement would make my head hurt for like 5 different reasons.

Then i wonder why many gamers left Wii for Xbox360...

Don't get me wrong I think the Gamecube is a great system and horribly underrated. Metroid Prime alone should have sold the system, despite no multiplayer it is a better game than Halo. If I was a little younger I'd probably place the Gamecube higher on the list but to me it's the only system without the Nostalgia factor so it's impossible for me to place it above any other system other than the Wii (which has too many good games for that). I didn't get a Gamecube until 2009 and I had an Xbox and Xbox 360 before that. The Nintendo 64 clearly should be the worst system due to its tiny game library and many poorly done third party titles but in my opinion the platformers on that system still haven't been surpassed in greatness. The good games on the N64 were extremely top notch. Thanks mostly to RARE the N64 was a viable alternative to the Sony Playstation which I still ended up buying a couple years after the N64 mainly for Resident Evil 2, and a lot of the 2D games like Castlevania, Megaman etc.

Every single point is completely accurate.

Especially Metroid Prime (my fav game ever!)

They are sheep. (regardless of quality of either console)
2008 REALLY sucked for gaming but especially Wii.
Better online
Complete refusal to buy original Ips that aren't shooters 95% of the time. (see: They are sheep)
It became cool to hate the Wii (see: They are sheep)
Wii has the most shovelware
They (and me) didn't realize nothing on 360 is worthwhile that isn't also on PC or Ps3.

Favorite: SNES. It has the best controller and some of the best games out there.

Least Favorite: N64. There's almost no good 3rd-Party games on it, the controller is almost unusable today, and most of the 1st-Party games on there have aged horribly.

haha, probably true. like saying your favorite movie is Toy Story 3.
And I don't think anyone that's hating on the N64 lived through the multiplayer party boom that was goldeneye and mariokart 64.

Well, I've never had an N64, but I have played one plenty of times. That controller is just horrible, particularily that awkward underneath trigger. Most of those multiplayer games are better on the GameCube or Wii, and not just because they have better controllers. Even many of the good single player games have (or will soon have) better versions.

Instead of Goldeneye N64 or Perfect Dark, play Goldeneye Wii or (soon) Conduit 2. Instead of Mario Kart 64, play Mario Kart: Double Dash (for local multiplayer) or Mario Kart Wii (for online multiplayer). Instead of Super Smash Bros., play Super Smash Bros. Melee or Brawl. Instead of F-Zero X, play the GameCube F-Zero. Instead of Mario Tennis or Golf, play the GameCube or Wii versions. Instead of Mario Party 2 or 3, play Mario Party >3. Instead of Bomberman 64, play Bomberman Blast. Instead of Super Mario 64, play Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2. Instead of Paper Mario, play Super Paper Mario. Instead of Sin and Punishment, play Sin and Punishment: Star Sucessor. Instead of Donkey Kong 64, play Donkey Kong Country returns. Instead of Starfox 64 and LoZ: Ocarina of time, get the upcoming 3DS versions. Instead of Kirby 64, get the new upcoming Kirby for Wii. Pokémon Snap has a superior Virtual Console version that lets you save your pictures to SD cards.

I just listed something like 3/4 of the good N64 games.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

I don't need a reason to buy other consoles, I'm gonna do that anyway. Of course there are going to be sequels to games, and everyone saying they like the Wii best because it has VC is cheating
I'm simply hypothesizing that kids these days are hating on the n64 because they didn't live it and experience the event and the effect it had on party gaming. Everyone should say their age along with their favorite console so we can conduct a scientific experiment.

I'm 18, grew up with the N64, played all those Party games and enjoyed them back in the day. Guess what? I still hate the N64 because, and others have said, it hasn't aged very well.

I dunno, I think the fact that the gamecube came out when you were 9 or so helps explain why it is your favorite. I'm not saying the n64 is my favorite or anything, I just think it's a good bet that most people who say that the n64 is their least favorite console are younger than I am, and weren't 12 or 13 or so when goldeneye and mariokart 64 came out, or maybe never had friends over to play multiplayer for hours. If not for friends and multiplayer tournaments the only game from n64 I would care about is mario64, and I wouldn't be sticking up for the console at all.

I agree on that. Just they wait til the Wii's successor. Microsoft needs to be thrown off their high horse someday...

I don't see any reason to hate it either. And you seem to be the perfect age to choose it as your favorite in my scientific experiment.

Yay, someone can name sequels, so what? Never assume a sequel is a better experience. Mario Party 2 still has the best mini-game selection, Goldeneye Wii is NOT the real thing (Seriously, replacing Bond Brosnan with Bourne Craig? disgrace), SSB Brawl is one of the most broken AAA titles I've ever come across, infact the original SSB is still praised as the better in my book because it's mechanics ALWAYS work due to how streamlined and simple the controls and features are, Mario Kart Wii shouldn't even have online, it's completely broken with dash-glitchers.

/inhale
As for Super Paper Mario, you've obviously never played it, or the first two Paper Marios. The gameplay is nothing alike, only the presentation. As someone who bought it day one, I was severely disappointed it's not an RPG, but a platformer.
While Donkey Kong Country Returns is the best 2D platformer out right now, it still lacks in areas that Donkey Kong 64 shined in. First, the over the top characters, bosses, and levels. Second, the multiplayer has alot more going for it in DK64, since it has a competitive element, while in DKCR, multiplayer feels more like a burden, much like in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Lastly, for anyone that complains about the N64's Z-trigger, do you have any idea how hypocritical you sound? Every other controller since then has adopted the trigger button for your index finger, and the fact that the bottom of the controller is warped to fit your hand makes it even more comfortable to hold than most other controllers.
Also, if you're going to only attack the N64, attack the Wii as well, the Nunchuck is exactly what the middle handle is.
