So what are the more valuable (could be in terms of money or nostalgia) items in your retro collection? Also include any more recent limited editions if its applicable.

For me, in terms of money, has to be a mint Chrono Trigger DS boxed game, and also Legend of Legacy Launch Edition PAL which I've seen on eBay for ridiculous amounts.

In terms of games that mean something to me; Majora's Mask 3D special edition, and Super Mario Land with manual in a repro box.

What are your most valuable games?

I was selling a bunch of old games to make space and one of which was Devil Survivor, I put it up on ebay starting at zero and almost instantly I got flooded with messages asking for a buy it now price. What I didn't realise was how rare it was, it was so rare it didn't even have a stupid priced copy on ebay. I literaly controlled the entire stock for it on ebay.

I checked my messages to see what they offering, I saw one guy offer me £80 as I'm not greedy I was happy to accept that but I offered it at that price to the first person that messaged me and they accepted.

I don't have much left that's worth anything, but I have a few DS games with boxes, manuals, and even unused Club Nintendo codes. I don't know why anyone would want them, but they can have them.

Probably my copy of Samurai Shodown 2 Pocket Fighting Series for Nintendo Switch.

Still sealed (because I played it plenty when I owned a NGPC), with a print run of only 2500.

It'll command a silly asking price down the road.

I don't know in terms of price, but the ones I am most proud of are these (they are all opened, but have their box and manuals in great shape)

  • Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3 for the NES
  • Super Mario Land 2 for the GB
  • Wario Land for the GB
  • Super Mario RPG for the SNES
  • A Link To the Past for the SNES
  • Link's Awakening for the GB (also the DX version for GBC)
  • The Minish Cap for the GBA

In both physical and emotional value, it would have to be my SNES with all the original packing and manuals all intact. I also have DKC and Killer Instinct with their boxes still. Keep the on display in my gaming room!😁

I have a sealed PAL copy of Kirby Air Ride. It does have some slight damage on the rear of the case, but it's still probably the most valuable game I have.

I guess the next would be my Wii U limited edition Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water, possibly, or perhaps Chibi Robo or Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for GCN.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

@Al_Godoy Thats a solid collection. SNES was just before my time, but I can relate to the old school boxed games.

I've got my original minish cap cart too, so regret losing the box and manual.

@jump Thats awesome, I'm trying to collect ds/3ds at the moment and have quite a lot of 3ds limited editions. Didn't know devil survivor went for that much.

@Ninfan Ah, I see what you mean. Yeah thats a lot of money. I think my whole videogame collection is only worth about £500. ZX Spectrum is proper retro, it would be good if there were more retro game stores like back in the day.

I have one valuable game in my collection: Y's: The Vanished Omens on Sega Master System. Prices on ebay range from $45 (just the cartridge, in medium condition) to $135 (complete and in good condition). Hard to say what mine would fetch: I drew my own maps and bound them to the manual with a glue-binder. Maybe I could salvage it, but I'm holding on to it for now

I’ve got a copy of Tetris 2 on Gameboy with the box, game, and manual in great condition. Other than that, I have a target exclusive Gameboy Advance model. I have plenty of other things, but these are probably worth the most.
