normally I'd say "who cares? It's a licensed game on a handheld, it almost certainly would have completely sucked."

But then I remember the Jackie Chan Adventures GBA game that was actually really good so...maybe it was cancelled because it couldn't live up to that or because someone actually didn't want a bad game made? Hell, Astro Boy Omega Factor's probably one of the best games on the system...
