I just bought an NES Classic for my two young boys to cut their teeth with. I have a small problem. Some games, MegaMan 2 or Super C are great examples, desperately call for the ability to have the turbo button like the old NES Max controllers. I have read that SNES Classic controllers work fine on the NES Classic, but I can’t find ANYWHERE where someone can confirm the SNES Classic controllers extra “A” and “B” buttons will work as “turbo” options for games mentioned above. Can anyone confirm? Any recommendations on other controllers for the NES Classic that will give me the “turbo” option? Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
They will not unless you mod your NES classic and install an emulator like retroarch onto it to key in turbo buttons. Otherwise they'll have to earn their shots in Super C the old way. With sore thumbs. Builds character.
