Hey, I just found a decently priced N64 online and it should be arriving in a few days. I had one when I was a kid, but foolishly sold it, so lately I have been longing to play some of the games that have not been released on the VC like Goldeneye 007 and Conkers Bad Fur Day. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Of course, the two I've mentioned are not on the Virtual Console (and I wasn't certain as to whether jaw51 was asking for games that are not available on VC or are available on VC). Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, and Super Smash Bros. are also cool.
@Starboy - I've already downloaded Mario Kart 64 and OoT, so I don't think I will be buying these for the N64, but I would like to get MM. There are some VC games that I'd be willing to find for the N64, but for the most part I'd rather just get ones that haven't been released on the VC.
ew, the only Nintendo Console I actually disliked(for the most part)...Besides the revolutionary and amazing Mario 64(at the time when it was released it blew my socks off the first time i played it. that analog stick, the large true 3D environemnts, the movement. Wow ;p) and there's Zelda OOT and MM, along with Golden Eye 007 and a few others....but this system was sorely lacking in variety...where were the horrot, Fighting and RPG games? where were the Sprite based games? For Retro lovers it was terrible...That's where the PSOne had the advantage.
For the N64, everything was done in a simplistic blurry textured 'look alike' type way, and everybody was trying to cash in on the success of Mario 64 by releasing countless 3D Platformers....I remember 1080 Snowboarding was great, F-Zero, SSB(sucks nowadays)I hated Diddy Kong Racing, Star Fox ect....But honestly, most N64 games(like alot of PSX games) don't hold up well nowadays. mainly because of their horrible 'below 30' frame rates. N64 had alot of chuggy games, take a look at Zelda OOT and MM for example....hell Golden Eye 007 is plagued by the same thing.
Anyways I know I know, this has nothing really to do with the Topic hehe.
Mario 64 Zelda OOT Zelda MM F-Zero Paper Mario 64 Golden Eye 007 (then again...that yucky frame rate.lol) Star Fox Mario Kart 64 1080 Snowboarding
PS: By the way....you want better graphcis for your N64? get an S-Video cable....most people didn't even realise that the SNES and N64 used a greater connection than the typical and crappy composite cables...S-Video basically gives you the sharpness/clearness of component but you dont get the better color and brightness that Component offers. It's a must if you have an N64....eBay sells universal ones which work with the SNES, N64 and Gamecube.

Thanks for the tip on the S-Video cable! I'll be sure to get that. Also, I do agree with you about the lack in variety, but the N64 still had a lot of fantastic games.
