Well, at least Wolfenstein 3D on the SNES wasn't quite as bad as Doom on the SNES. Still, I'd avoid both ports.

Actually, if you want to pick up the DEFINITIVE version of Wolfenstein, track down Super Noah's Ark 3D. You'll never be the same.
Wow.......I looked into that one online, and that looks like one of the best worst games of all time. If the story behind it is true that just makes it all the better.

There's a popular rumor that id (the company that made Wolfenstien 3D and Doom) was so angry that Nintendo made them butcher the SNES version of Wolfenstien, that they gave the source code to a company called Wisdom Tree, and this sameful abomination was made: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_3D_Noah%27s_Ark Just don't get the game. As for the rest, I have absolutely no clue about them.
