I never knew Super Paper Mario was a book.

I know what they're getting at though. There was definitely a lot of text in that game.

Me neither wouldn't have bought it had I known that, even a game based on that dang owl from ocarina of time couldn't have been as text draggingly boring as SPM.

I always thought it was a video game. Please explain.

Just for you.

Most of the time was spent reading rather than playing.

Yeah they did go a bit overboard with the text in SPM but other than that it was good. It's the worst of the three though.

@Emaan1: I wouldn't skip out on the first one. It's just as good as TTYD.

So I'm getting Paper Mario on Virtual Console eventually, then I'm hunting down Thousand Year Door. I guess Super Paper Mario will be a game I get to whenever sometime in the future.

There are heaps of copies of Thousand Year Door on eBay, at least the NTSC version. It makes me a bit jealous how cheap you NTSC gamers have it - I paid about $60 for a used PAL copy of TTYD, while eBay US has new copies for about $40...

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

Definitely get TTYD!!! It is the best Paper Mario game that has been released so far, and you will enjoy it. LOL When I played it I had no save, so I left my Wii on for days, and then I finally died on the train by reading the guys journal.

Monster Hunter for the win!!!!! Check out my music album at https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/fifteen-ep/id589290511

@Wheels2050, wait new copies for just $40?

You won't need to, but since you haven't played one before, I'd recommend getting the first one off of the Virtual Console service for 1000 Wii Points so you can see if the series is right for you.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

But you have to remember you can get it used at Gamestop for $14.99 and if you get the case but not the instruction manual don't worry, Nintendo's online store sells instruction manuals for $1.99 I believe so you get the quality of new for less than half the price. (And if it doesn't work games stop will either refund your money or give you a different copy until you get one that works)

It doesn't really matter but don't do yourself the horrid injustice of skipping out on the N64 one! Just pick it up on the VC for 10 bucks. I give my full recommendation to ALL the Paper Mario games!

Super Paper Mario is one of my favorite games on the Wii and is highly recommended.

We finally agree on something.
I would skip PaperMario one, and TTYD is the worst out of the bunch.
If your new to PaperMario, the one for the Wii is the best place to start.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

Paper Mario 1 is the best way to start out on the series. It's cheap (regardless if you buy the VC or cartridge version) and it's one of the best RPGs in existence. Then, play Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It is an awesome sequel that is just as good if not better than the original.

Super Paper Mario is not a true Paper Mario game. It is a spin-off that is not nearly as good as the other Paper Mario games. Play SPM at your own risk.

@SkywardLink98, my Gamestop doesn't really have much Gamecube games anymore.

And wow, didn't know the series was so divided among fans. Some love TTYD and apparently some hate it? Same with SPM
