I found the first tutorial was good, but they def need a set if missions to expain everything code related. Still think Project Spark is a good way to get people into coding.

Is it fair that I'm still infuriated by the fact that they trolled us with Conker?

Bump bump bump

Not alot of news since E3, and microsoft hasn't announced if their doing a gamescom conference

The frist trailer for Halo Nightfall

The Trailer for Halo 2 remake

Even though XES is being shut down the TV series based on the deadlands PNP game is still in the works. I'm guessing microsoft is making a RPG based of it as well.

Alongside Project Spark Killer Instcnt season 1 is getting a retail release for $19.99.

It includes all the fighters for season 1 as well as a code to TJ Combo when season 2 starts.

I just realized how better off Xbox would be right now if they just went with the "Xbox One as a download only console" idea instead of the DRM Kinect obsessed insanity they went through that alienated as many people as they could and caused them to backtrack and make it cheaper only to be outsold by that Mario Kart 8 console (also sometimes known as Wii U). BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO SUCCEED BECAUSE MOST OF THE GAMES ARE ON THE ****ING 360 ANYWAY. Honestly could've been a better third (well, 2nd) pillar idea than what Nintendo tried with GBA/DS.

But maybe I'm biased because they didn't that meant that Xbox was only interesting when it was surrounded by greed and awful and then become the whatever PS4 competition console with somewhat better exclusives. And it isn't like I would get a 2nd next gen console for a long time almost regardless so my opinion wouldn't matter to Microsoft for that and other obvious reasons.

Well the Xbox One was going to be what the steam box should have been. Even now i'm all digital on my Xbone so Far and i'm loving it.

A TV tuner for the xbox in UK. I hope it comes to america since this would pretty much Cut the cord for someone who doesn't have cable but wants to use the TV features.

Xbox's Gamescom briefing is next week so i'm hoping for some new games and anouncements of already announced stuff.

So Crimson Dragon and Strike Suit Zero are on Games with Gold. Crimson Dragon is pretty freaking difficult...

You know I never thought about asking this but how is the Xbox One controller? I read reports and article about how MS invested a lot of money to make it better, so my question: is the controller better?

I prefer it too the 360 controller myself, it just seems so much more solid and better built while being light weight,

Strike Suit Zero is pretty meh, I bought it on PS4 and really didn't like it. I think crimson dragon is pretty fun after trying the first level.

The gamscom conference is tommorow so i'll update it quickly.

It's a bit better, IMO. The impulse triggers are neat, the d-pad, is better, the joysticks have a bit more grip, and they added IR on the top for whatever reason. In Dead Rising 3, if a zombie grabs you, you have to shake the controller, then the Kinect senses you shaking the controller via IR. It's kind of hit and miss, because you basically have to point the controller at the TV. The IR isn't used for anything else, as far as I'm aware. I guess you could technically use it as a pointer for some things, like the Wii remote, but it has no real use, kind of.

The $100 million might have made the controller better. If they wouldn't have researched anything at all, they probably would have just released the same 360 pad again, but the added bits kind of imply that the research went somewhere, even if the changes were fairly minor.

Well, probably not the website to say this on but I sold my Wii U (still have a 3DS and still love Nintendo though, no fanboy here just not really into Nintendo home consoles any more these days unfortunately) to a friend to help pay for a pre-order for the Xbox One Madden bundle (will most likely disappoint but it is a free game so whatever) so I'm looking forward to getting that in a couple weeks. I'll post my gamertag here when I re-up my Gold account so maybe I can add some of you guys and we can meet up for round of KI or Halo 2 when it comes out. Thinking I'm going to get that retail release of KI although there's a $40 digital 'Ultra' Edition that includes the original arcade game... Tough decision.

The first Major Gamescom news is about the OS updates

New “Friends” section – The new Friends section has been available for a few early access Preview members and we’re expanding it to everyone enrolled in the Preview program. The new Friends section enables users to see at a glance what’s going on with their friends. They can stay up-to-date with their current activities, the most popular games their friends are playing, and a Gamerscore leaderboard to see who has improved their Gamerscore over the last 30 days.

Snap Center – Some of gamers’ favorite features in the Xbox 360 guide, are coming to Xbox One in a way that’s now truly be side-by-side with games. Messages, friends, parties, and achievements will all be available in the new Snap Center, providing a seamless way to switch back and forth without having to leave a game.

Threaded Messages – Keeping gamers in their games while they multitask has been a huge focus. The new Messages app features threaded messages with the full conversation history – including embedded links to Game DVR clips – that can be viewed without interrupting gameplay.

Media Player – A new app will be available soon that enables users to play media files from either an attached USB device or from a network connected home media server that supports DLNA protocols. The preview version of the Media Player app will initially only support USB devices, with DLNA support coming soon. Xbox One will support more formats than Xbox 360, including support for dozens of new file formats like mpeg 2 TS, animated gifs and mkv which will be added by the end of the year. See below for additional file formKats.

Xbox One Digital TV Tuner – Announced last week, this new accessory will enter a limited preview program in Europe (UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain), in advance of its retail launch beginning in October.

Stream TV to SmartGlass – Launching first in markets receiving the Xbox Digital TV Tuner, Xbox One owners will be able to stream their TV across their home network to their smartphones and tablets using the Xbox SmartGlass app. They can also pause, play and rewind as well as change channels, without interrupting gameplay on the Xbox One. This will work for SmartGlass apps on Windows, iOS, and Android.

Boot to TV – Now Xbox One owners will be able to set their console to boot directly to television when coming out of connected standby.

Live TV mini guide – For markets where OneGuide is available, a new mini guide on the bottom of the screen will display details about the TV content that is currently playing. Users can quickly change channels and see what’s on other channels, while still watching TV.

Country Expansion – We’re doing a lot of work on the backend to prepare for Xbox One to launch in 29 new markets in the coming weeks.

I tuned out on call of duty but the 1TB console model looks cool i guess.
Evovle got delayed and the open beta is January.
Rise of the tomb raider is the freaking exclusive.
Quantum Break looks pretty rad.

How So? I'm excited for the beta and the narrative they've chosen for the new games and books have been pretty cool.

Booooooo at nothing regarding D4, i wonder if its going to be episodic at this point.

I'm not keen on the multiplayer direction they are going with which for me is the main reason I play Halo.

Quantum Break seems awesome. Was hoping to see some more on Crackdown but I guess they're saving that for something next year. I just hope both are 2015 releases.

seriously quantum break is the only game that really looks "next gen" to me. the 8min gameplay demo was amazing. the time freezing with all those objects couldnt have been done on the old consoles. still hate the weird modern 3rd person perspective...i want my camera in the middle damnit!!

Well, after actually watching some Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break and Bloodborne gameplay, I'm almost convinced I'll be getting an Xbone. Especially with the announcement of the SO bundle. Not to mention Dragon Age and Scalebound..

Sunset Overdrive reminds me of Jet Set Radio for some reason, except you fight monsters instead of paint stuff. This appeals to me..
