@NEStalgia
They have CANCELED FF VII Remake ?!
I don't really have quite interest with FF VII but that was Shocking to me.
I heard SquareEnix LOST their studio for making FF VII Remake.

@Anti-Matter It's at least "temporarily" cancelled. They scrapped the existing project. They do intend to still do it at some point, but they'll be starting from zero using the KHIII team...so...yeah. A Square game that won't even start for the next 3 months or so.....expect it by 2028. 2032 at the latest. Then the game can change from being set in the future to being set in the past

It was some outsourced studio working on it, not Square itself. When they do it again it will be Square itself doing it. But I'd expect that will take a long, long, long time. They always do.

Btw, i still own World of Final Fantasy PS4 version , Physical release, No Maxima DLC right now.
So, the Maxima DLC = Additional contents, doesn't affect much with Main Storyline ?
Kinda like Xenoblade 2 Torna Season Pass.
The PS4 version was like DLC contents if you already have Xenoblade 2, The Switch version was like Full game in Digital format, The Xbox1 version was like the Physical version of Xenoblade 2 Torna.

@Anti-Matter Yeah, I don't think there's any story content locked in the DLC. It's a kind of questionable add-on for the price. It lets you play as the Champions (the FF characters from mainline FF games you can summon) instead of just playing Lann and Reyn, it adds additional Champions (Noctis, Cecil, a few others), and it adds more monsters to catch/fight. But no additional story like Torna, just more contents and an optional play style change with the ability to switch your party to FF characters now. Plus a fishing mini-game. Because Noctis....

So yeah, the ways to get it are:
X1:
Maxima version (physical or digital)

Switch:
Maxima version (digital only)

Playstation (this gets confusing):
PS Vita:
Base game only (no DLC) (physical or digital)

PS4:
Base game (physical or digital) + DLC (which doesn't work on the Vita version.)

So anyone that's doing the portable/home console sync with Vita probably can't or shouldn't upgrade to Maxima. Which is weird and confusing.

@DuskformLycanroc
Well, i just wonder if the game released on Southeast Asia territory = counted as Region 3 (Chinese Asian).
Here in Indonesia, i have ever founded Switch games WITHOUT any Age rating label on the front cover but it mentioned sold in Asian territory on the back cover. (Indicated Region 3).

I don't know when, but last night I noticed this game received a patch. Afterward, the game now starts up significantly faster, no longer slows down system menus/game library while running, and, I swear, it looks a bit better too in terms of resolution/textures. It still has a weird contrast issue where everything looks kind of washed out compared to at least the PS4 version (haven't seen the X1 version) so that's a little disappointing (it has the same problem MH World has on all platforms regarding contrast, except on PS4 it doesn't. I'd love to see it on X1. PS has a weird gamma curve where all games look excessively over-contrasted compared to X1 and Switch, but this originally having been a PS exclusive, I'd be curious if it's just on Switch, or if the game was built for Sony's skewed gamma curve and thus has low contrast on both Switch and X1.
