Topic: Wii to have real competition?

Now that I think about it, Natal will introduce Milo, a man-made sentient being that will rule over the video game industry in 30 or so years. After that, he will become the ruler of 7 Nations in the UN, including the U.S. and the UK. The rest, I'm not sure of.
As for the technology itself, Nintendo need not worry. They've got the audience that wants these games in the bag.

The Wii's real competition is time. Eventually, people will tire of it. Eventually...

Their main competition is oil and coal which will run out. Then the power plant won't produce electricity and the Wii won't run. Keeping in mind Wii's power consumption is lower than PS3 and 360.

So ends a saga older than time itself.
The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation

Move and NAtal will fail.

Sorry to say.

Move is a TOTAL wii rip off, from controller to software to avatar to marketuing. So why not just buy a Wii?? lol

Molneaux is complaingn about how ordinary the first wave of NATAL software is.

Lets face it, no 3rd party is going to go balls to the walls on wither platform, nd no game out this fall will match Zelda on Wii. stick it MS stick it sony, you lose!

stand up for yourselves!

It was? I seem to remember it having pretty reasonable sales figures.

Reasonable? Well wii is a runaway hit - so is motion plus and balance board.

let us know when eye toy meets those thresholds, please?

I'm pretty sure he wasn't being sarcastic...
Anyways, regarding the Move, according to IGN, it doesn't work well. They plan to "take the Wii audience", but why would the people who play Wii want to pay a few extra hundred dollars for an inferior motion control system? I doubt it will sell well, or at least not as good as the Wii.

Just let it happen.

Sony DOES have a couple of good games, like Free Realms. If they just make a good console, maybe they might have a chance. But I'm still on Wii's side.

Its not sarcasm. Just look at it. Watch the offical trailer. Lol Sony is gonna fail on this big time. Really I am sorry, it is just such a waste. Looks lke a 4-H project, and they will be lucky to get even a red ribbon...

Yes but to claim that the EyeToy was a massive flop is a stretch of the imagination.

@ninsane: Calm down. I agree with you, but I don't go around screaming it to everyone else. Stop trolling on this website, even if it is pro nintendo.

I've got a Wii, why would I buy a PS3 for motion controls? If I bought a PS3 it would only be to get away from them and move to HD.

On the Wii motion controls aren't even always the best option yet they are often used. Boom Blox would be impossible without them, RE4 is much better with them, Dawn of Discovery would be a pain without them, Zelda uses them quite well, Super Mario Galaxy it's arguable if they add anything. Other games like de Blob I'd actually prefer regular controls, and Mario Kart is fun it's easy to turn the remote too far which throws everything off.

For a lot of games though they really open up the door to those who find D-Pad's and buttons hard to get past. Wii sports is and excellent example. The motion controls aren't always perfect but they do mimic the real life motions quite well in a lot of cases.

The obvious answer would be for HD motion controls. FPSers, for instance, at more at home on the PS3 hardware than the Wii's, and they're an easy target for motion controls.

I haven't played EyeToy since I visited a friend in Italy summers ago. It was fun to see yourself (the player) take action in EyeToy's games. I remember this one mini-game where you had to deflect ninjas (or warriors).

To each their own
