I have the first three ACA versions on Switch and can't see how this series is beloved by Gamers.

I don't enjoy one-shot kills that loses your weapon and any freed hostages.

The ONLY good thing I'll say about them is the sprites/graphics.

As I've bought them, I'll complete them, THANKFULLY due to UNLIMITED Credits/Continues but I can't see me ever replaying them.

The fantastic visuals?
Also kids don't understand score based games these days.

@LeighDapa Well you edited it in after someone mentioned it rather than saying it in your intial post.

The fun is in playing the game and beating the game.

We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

Man what are you on? Metal Slug barely offers a challenge until the final two levels.
X is a bit harder.
3 definitely is over-long and has too many bullet-sponge enemies, and too many transformations that slow the pace down, by far my least favourite of the series.

@LeighDapa Those games were designed for arcade and the player to die, people will pop in another quarter to continue.
Luckily nowadays there are MAME emulators, just set the credits on 99 and enjoy the action. They are quite fun. There are also fun games based on Metal Slug that don¬īt try to emty your wallet. Like Fury Unleashed and Mercenary Kings, those are fun too and easier.

Bamm!
