Topic: The Unofficial Steam Sales Thread

So I picked up Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and KOTOR 1&2 (both for the second time). I've played Jedi Knight, and I like it. Good game, even if a little dated. I haven't started up on KOTOR yet, because they will be fairly long games, and I have other things to play first.

Is Anodyne any good? I see it's on sale for $5, it's an old school Zelda clone that's actually trying to have a story, but I'm not sure how it performs and none of the reviewers I trust reviewed it...

New Humble Bundle today. I'd have to warn people not to get it. Hammerwatch is already only $4 on the Humble Store, and it goes on Steam/GOG/Whatever sales for less than $2.50.

Its Steam. Not Android. The Android version doesn't work properly on my tablet but either way I have no way to give you the Android version.

I ended up with 3 keys for it as a side effect of getting stuff I did want from various bundles. How can I send it to you ?

If you give me the trading cards from it that is probably more than it cost me. (But I am really not bothered).

I don't know how to deal with the cards. If you don't have anything specific, I'll surprise you. My Steam name is Mickeymac. If I ever feel like dealing with the cards, I'll send you those, too. I certainly don't want them.

Also, wow. I should not be too surprised since this seems to be a common problem, but you had so many games that I could not find a single worthwhile game for $5 or under that you didn't already have. So I gave you a $10 game. Hope you enjoy it.

Ok so can somebody explain to me the stream anywhere program that Steam is offering now? I am kinda curious about it now more my son because the good gaming computer is mine and he has a low end laptop (for school work and that sort of stuff).

It's a digital distribution service for the PC. Think the Nintendo e-Shop, but for PC and run by Valve.

You forgot that it's god's gift to man (or single men anyways).

From what I understand, if you have two computers linked to the same Steam account, you can essentially have one run the game while the other simply streams it. Basically, you could use a high end PC to run the game, but it would be playable on a cheap laptop.

Mirror's Edge and Dead Space 2 are $4.99 each. How is Mirror's Edge? It looks cool, but I'm a bit unsure...

Get them both. Mirror's edge is a really cool experimental game. It takes a bit of getting used to, though. Dead Space 2 will give you nightmares.

Or a cheap Steambox connected to a TV. I think that is probably the idea.
