Well specifically with Lara Croft GoL you use the analog stick to move and the D-pad to select your weapon. 4 weapons, a direction for each of them. Pretty nifty use of it.

I agree though, I wouldn't use the 360 controller's D-pad for movement (of all things). In Super Meat Boy I just get that much more precision out of using my keyboard... somehow. Even though the game keeps blasting out recommendations that I use a 360 controller! Nintendo, Sega and even Sony's D-pads are far superior to Microsoft's though and I do like to use those a lot.

The new transforming D-pads look pretty nifty though!

I find those suspicious. Like a Decepticon is gonna pop out of them or something. /me eyes irken >_> Haha, are those out now? Any word on if they actually work well or not?

I have not heard. Let me know if you end up googling it.

Most platformers I play on PC are better with a controller, imo. My reflexes on a keyboard suck compared to a controller.

Hmmm, I should take a picture of me playing Lost Coast so you can see how crappy it looks on my PC!

...Hehehe....

AHEM... I'd like to get one of those corded 360 controllers as well, since most newer games that support gamepads only support the 360 controller T_T Maybe for my Birthday next month...

RUNNER tomorrow.

Wait, what about CORE and VOID? I was hoping to get all of the BIT.TRIP series on Steam.

That's great news! I'll be picking up RUNNER soon then.

@Irken: Good luck getting a 360 controller. It's definitely made super meatboy more enjoyable and possible for me to play. Once I finish up with what I can of it I'll finally play BTTF parts 1 and 2 also, yay.

And YAY for the Bit.Trip (HD) series

I honestly found the controller a bit clunky when I was trying to make some tough leaps and such. I played the 360 trial. Why do they not just give us the option to change whatever keys we like and be done with it?

@y2 I have a Logitech dual action gamepad which I use for some of my games (SMB included), and it does help a lot! I want the 360 controller because some games won't work with my gamepad

Also, Steam made a few remarks about their GDC info including: their success with microtransactions and Big Picture Mode

Alright, took some screenies of me playing some Lost Coast. They're on my profile, because I don't know how to add a link

Regarding the XBox360 controller on PC, do you use the wired controller, or the wireless one? Also, can you use any controller, or do you need a special one/adapter/etc?

Fuzzy, Backloggery.

Unless you have some sort of wireless thing to connect to your computer, you need a wired controller.

Hmm, new update. It says it fixes some bugs and stuffs. It's keeping me away from my Tomb Raider. >:3

BIT Trip RUNNER is on Steam now! I'll get it once it appears in a bigger sale, hopefully along with BEAT.

Ravage

BEAT is 50% off!
