Yeah im enjoying my time with the PS5 but a PS6 really doesnt seem that appealing to me.
A playstation handheld on the other hand i would be happy with even if it was mainly a portable way to play my older games, especially since PSportal seems to rely on wi-fi and doesnt seem to have any way to just directly connect to the system for off-tv play like with wiiu gamepad.
Then again i was one of those who enjoyed my time with the Vita a lot, even without the first party support i found it a fun way to play a bunch of rpgs and assorted psone games (felt the smaller screen did them favours so psp/vita became my fave way to play them officially without going full retro with a CRT- TV and whatnot)
With the gap between the (keep in mind HD) console Switch 1 and Switch 2 being eight years between, and Nintendo's president saying that he wants the Switch 2 lifespan to last at least as long as the original Switch (which would mean that a potential "Switch 3" or whatever it ends up being wouldn't come out until September 2033 at the absolute earliest, if not later) it's safe to say that the seven-year console generation is a thing of the past. Which is fine by me, and I've had that thought since 2024 anyway. With game development times only getting longer, it makes sense.
And from everything about the PS6 that I think is possible to happen... I just have no interest. The one thing that would make me more interested in a PS6 / PS5 is if the main Sony Headquarters moved back to Japan and started allowing more Japanese games again like they used to in the early 2010s. A man can dream.

I still enjoy my PS5 Fat to play currently Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar.
I'm fine without portability for certain games as I really demand 60 fps standard for smaller games.
I had a PS2 that lasted well into the late 2010s before it finally stopped working. I watched seasons and seasons of anime DVDs on that thing on top of playing full blown RPGs on it beginning to end. Never burned out on me until i stopped using it for a while. That's some good manufacturing quality right there. Right up there with the NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis! Used to watch all of Naruto, all of Bleach, Deathnote, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hellsing, Ghost in The Shell, FLCL, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, it was awesome! Trigun, Black Cat, Devil May Cry, Case Closed, whatever I could get for like 15 bucks at FYE. .Hack//SIGN used to be in the big fat box set. I had one of the .Hack games but it was a European copy and it wouldn't play on my American PS2. I got it on my summer vacation in Italy back in high school. I traded it in years later because i had no way to play it. But it was kinda cool because it still came with the DVD. Couldn't watch that either. Stupid region lockouts.
