@Snatcher Unless you have a ton of extra time and you already own the consoles AND you can get them for cheap, just skip them and check them out later if you're really interested.

The first games have dated quite a bit IMO, especially certain... ''gameplay mechanics''...

Today the "black friday" kicked in in my country and I ordered Spider-Man Miles Morales and Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut. Finally, I will play Miles I was waiting for so long for this to be discounted

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika PETA is just ... all of this is marketing, and they are despicable. I wish they could just disappear. I read somewhere that they kill more animals than they save.

I am so jealous of you getting to play it for the first time! I really enjoyed that game, like really really enjoyed it.

@Pizzamorg I really loved Spider-Man (2018) it is very relaxing game. I put it next to the Arkham games because both series nailed the Superhero feel!

Somebody have played My Fantastic Ranch on PS4 / PS5. 😀
The game is running on smooth 60 fps.
Looks pretty cute, but the fairy voice was annoying. Glad I heard you can turn off her voice.

Maybe a stupid question, but does PS Plus stack? And how does it work if you stack one type of Plus onto another? I have the middle tier of PS Plus right now about nine or ten months left, but Premium is about 60 quid on Amazon. If I buy that and activate it, will I not see the benefit of Premium until my current sub is over? Or does this upgrade me to Premium with the extra months I already bought? So, it'd be 21 months? Because that seems like an exploit, as you could buy the cheapest tier and then stack the most expensive on it and get a deep discount.

Does anyone here play street fighterV? If so I’m starting it out, I got the ce so I’m ready to go. I have played some of the game before, only vary, vary little, maybe five online games.

I’m interested in chun li or juri, which one of them should I start out with?

@Snatcher
I don't play Street Fighter V but from experience with older Street Fighter, Chun Li or Cammy are easy starter.
Chun Li have hundred kicks by pressing Kick button repeatedly, Kikkou ken by quarter down to front + Punch, Spinning Bird Kick by holding down for 2 seconds then Up + Kick.

For Cammy, Spiral Arrow is easily targeted on let's opponent by half quarter down to front + Kick, Cannon Spike by Front Down Front + Kick.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika BOTW is more of a vibe than a game... I adore it... Imagine being a 100yo warrior in an almost dead world slowly getting good gear to beat Ganon.

I played Yonder The Cloud Catcher Chronicles on both Switch and PS4 for indie cartoonish open world style adventure game.
100% No violence at all, 100% Safe for kids and that's why I played the game.

I'd hardly count NieR or NieR Automata as open world games really. the maps are generally more linear feeling, and while you can access some of the areas earlier, without having to do the story segment for that area, there's not much reason to do so.

I also wouldn't count Xenoblade as open world either, outside of Xenoblade X, given that Xenoblade itself has many areas that you can't get to until story beats happen, along with loading screens for said areas. The only thing that really makes them "Open world" is just that you're able to explore big areas that are somewhat connected to other areas, but even then I don't really think it should constitute as an open world traditionally.

"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."

I have a kind of weird relationship with Open World games in that I love that feeling when you first start an open world game and look out at a map and just see so many things to uncover. Just one of my favourite feelings in gaming.

But I also have a real tendency to want to complete everything, and that usually results in extreme burn out by the end. Even games I would say I love like Red Dead 2, Ghost of Tsushima and AC Odessey, by the end of all of those I was on the border of throwing up a white flag and just walking away. I think it is only when you get older you learn of the magic that is a 10 to 15 hour, linear, story driven game that is designed to be played until the credits roll and then you are done. Maybe that is why games like BioShock and BS Infinite became favourites of mine as I grew up.

I think Miles Morales was pretty well balanced in that a completionist playthrough still clocked in at a reasonable amount of hours. Cause man, I never want to play another 90+ hour Assassin Creed open world RPG ever again. Valhalla drove me to the brink of madness.
