Are you gonna be paying for the new PSN? I sure will be,once I gather the money up of course and OF COURSE if it is giving us anything that justifies the upgrade.

Sources are saying that paid subscribers will have access to a rotating list of PSP Mini and PSone Classic titles, exclusive DLC, and discounts on the store. Full retail titles are also said to be coming to the store, with "first hour" access available to paid PSN+ subscribers. Once the first hour of the game has been played, gamers will be given the option to unlock the full title for an additional cost.
What the heck does that even mean, a rotating list of Minis and Classics? The Minis and Classics are never phased out, so does this mean we won't be able to buy any "new" classics via the normal store anymore? If so, I will be rather annoyed. The first hour demo service is so very tempting, but screw it, subscription services are the work of the devil. I'll be interested in this only so far as it affects the quality of the normal service.
Hell, I actually see it as a good thing. Sony will add stuff for paying members, which will cause Microsoft to increase their offerings. In response, Sony likely will increase what they offer, etc. etc.

Hey, at least when people say "XBox live is better because when you pay, you get better service" you can say that PS3 has both free and a subscribe thing.
@turtlelink yes i am in some agreement, unless they can make the XMB and whole online system for ps3 improved aesthetically (for the xmb) and service wise, the whole xbox online is better argument will be so much more hard to refute since we will be paying for the supposedly inferior ps3 online service. I personally don't know much about the 360 online, but ive heard it is better as well as a result of the fact that you pay for the good service.
Onto the topic, all i really could care for is some nice exclusive stuff for subscribing members that actually make the payment feel like its paying you back in terms of quality and service, and i also would love being able to change my PSN name, o gosh how i would love to change that without making a new psn.

Sounds like possibly there's a rotating list of Minis and Classics you can play for free. Whether that means play as a temporary rental, download permanently for free (unlikely), or buy on sale, I'd imagine you'd still be able to access the whole PSN store at any given time and pay full price. I mean, they want your money after all. Sounds most like a free rental service based on the quote you have.
Hi token girl, when I was here for most of last year and a half ago i heard about you but you were apparently gone somewhere for a very long time so i never ever got to ever see you around. So, just saying hi haha, off topic i know, but i have contributed what i wanted to earlier
Ohh, that makes sense, Token. The article was rather vague. If I didn't already have a bunch of PSOne games, that would actually have some appeal, as aside from Symphony of the Night, I never play any of these games for more than a month.
