Topic: Porting NES Games

Hi there!

I'm new to this forum and wasn't sure where to post this. I was wondering if it's possible to port games from one system to another, specifically porting NES games to GBA cartridges. There's a lot of games I'd like to own/play but they're rare and expensive. I know I could use an emulator but I've never been a fan of them and I like the idea of portable gaming. Is it possible to somehow port NES games to a GBA cart? What would be required to do it...i.e., donor cart, copy of the NES game to be ported, a rom of the NES game? Does anyone know of somebody who has done this before/would be willing to do it? I've seen so many NES hacks and homebrews that it got me wondering if this is possible. Any input would be appreciated!

Cheers,
James

I believe the only way you are able to "port" an NES game to GBA is via emulation and a GBA flash cart.

Yeah, pretty sure you'd need an emulator.

Only other choice would be programming a clone of a NES game for your GBA, but that would be beyond the skills of the vast majority and a complete waste of time considering the emulation option.
