So, I like the whole Trophy Collection thing. Kinda of a extra incentive to keep playing a game.

I know what you mean. Definitely a reason for me to try and 100% games, it was even a big factor in buying the MGS HD collection recently. Yay for trophies~

...don't mind that I only have 1 gold and no platinum

I did too for a longtime, but now I wish I could disable them. I realized that I was playing games totally different than I would've had there not been any trophies and now I don't check them until after I've played at least one run through. If I'm still wanting to play the game, I'll go back for trophies. Most developers have gotten much better at implementation, but I've got a few to spare anyways.

True and thanks for the suggestion. I love Dead Island (I have it for Xbox in fact) but there is just something about it that doesn't quite have that multiplayer allure that the L4D franchise does. I can't put my finger on what it is though.

It doesn't have zombies, but Payday: The Heist is pretty much L4D. Other than that, you might have to wait for that Raccoon City Resident Evil game.

Ya, I don't plan on playing for trophies the first go around in Resident Evil 5. I have been getting some along the way but I'm just playing to beat it first. Now my second go around that could change.

Speaking of RE5 I'm on chapter 3-3 and just now starting to feel comfortable playing the game. I'm so used to playing Wii that I have forgot what it's like to not be using the nun-chuck and Wiimote lol.

Ya, I was a few bucks short from being able to get the Gold Edition.

Also.

According to the PlayStation Blog, the PSN will be down for maintenance for most of Thursday, November 17th. The nature of the maintenance is unknown, though the post refers to it as "routine scheduled maintenance."

I just got done playing the demo to the game: El Shaddai Ascension of the Metatron. Very interesting. I love the art style with a passion. Water colored world that creates a wrapping for a vibrant, unique experience. The controls were very simplistic but the concept of consuming their weapons never made sense to me. The music however did make sense as it wowed me from the title screen to the end of the demo.

The combat reminded me of a Devil May Cry and Okami crossover. Okami because your stuck in a circle boundary with multiple enemies coming at you. Devil May Cry because of the button mashing gameplay. I never understood how to switch weapons but I did make use of the long range thorn shooter ma'jig the best I could. ...even at close range.

This game is art and this game HAS to go in my collection.

Just for you.

@Zez Haha... I love that part! I'm trying to wrap up the SP in Uncharted 3 so I can get back to MG2. Did you know that Peace Walker got revamped controls and online multiplayer?

@Viewtiful Download the demo to BioShock. You simply have to experience Rapture! Like, you have too!

So, I have had my PS3 for a full week now and the only thing I don't like about it is when you put in a game it kinda grabs it out of your hand and when you eject it the game doesn't come out very far. Other than that I pretty much love it but I do kinda feel sorry for my dusty Wii.

@Waltz Haha... I got home to an unexpected package of the Wii and DS version of Power Rangers Samurai! I've yet to try either of them out though and it seem nobody even knew we were getting them too.

haha, yeah this one was a surprise to me. Usually they tell me they're sending me a game, but this time? Pleasant surprise.

Saved me from buying it.

You know what really bugs me? The fact certain great games don't have trophies.

  • Metal Gear Solid 4 (Come on man!)
  • Call of Duty 4
  • Oblivion

I'd play these games until I was blue in the face if they had trophies.

Just for you.
