what's everyone's vote for the best 2 free games from Sony's makeup package? The only one I already have is Littlebigplanet. I see mickey wants infamous and wipeout, that might be the way I go as well. i'm jealous we aren't getting ratchet & clank that would have been an easy choice for us.

On another note, Nier is awesome. Especially in the second part. It has it's faults, but I can largely overlook them. I'm just finishing some sidequests (some really suck!) and trying to upgrade my Phoenix Spear, then I think Im ready to go and finish it.

I have a question about Playstation plus that I've asked but nobody has answered. Can you keep games you get for free or from a discount?

@slap - I see no reason to be too wary from that fuzzy noiseless video. While I personally loathe the 360 controller design, I'm definitely of a minority in this regard (maybe not in this topic) and the potential giant-controller thing doesn't bother me much as I have hands the size of small planets. Potential blu-ray adoption has me excited too...although I'm a bit worried about nothing but PS3/360 ports for a substantial part of its early lifespan...definitely gonna give it well over a year after release before I purchase it. If I could travel back in time I'd give this advice to myself before buying a Wii and a DS. Buying a PS3 a couple years late was awesome by comparison, not to mention literally half the price that it would've been at launch.
/shudders remembering non-XMB original PS3 firmware and complete lack of games that weren't Motorstorm...
EDIT - oh yeah--also back from my little most-of-week lake voyage. It was awesome, I'm turbo-tan, I launched people off of jetskis, and I wake-jumped as high as I've ever gone before several times when it was windy the other day. Copious enjoyment, and of course non-store PSN is back up when I come back. Good day to be Dan....still gonna take a lot more than that to forget the last 27 days of PSNlessness though...

@Swerd Sounds like a good time on the lake. I was also on a lake over the weekend (well part of it, the rest was on the beach), but I played a ton of disc golf instead of jet-skiing Lol.

@slap - uuuuugh if it's a streaming screen I'll never utilize it. Remote play with PSP was, is, and will always be one of the most atrocious jokes Sony's ever played on me. 2-3 second control lag? How is any game of any genre ever supposed to be playable? Even turn-based RPGs were an exercise in frustration...
