@ stuff... i want a wipeout platinum from you!

Anybody know if wipeout was the. Entire game including the fury dlc? Also recommend using the driving assist as it takes away the annoyances of previous wipeout games.

I'm not sold on PSN Plus. There just isn't anything on there that appeals to me, not yet at least. I already own both Wipeout HD and Infamous. I don't like Sony's idea of "free" games either. I much rather have something that I can actually keep instead of just a rental. I'm sure that it will get better as time goes on but until I see something that I absolutely cannot live without I'm going to have to pass.

I created a thread to keep up with how valuable PSN+ is to each person as I took the idea from the IGN article. See how much it ends up being worth. I think it will be fun and I can keep up with it here better than on paper. Anybody else want to join will be cool as it will prob be very different per person.

Rumor is next months game for download is Zen Pinball. I hope so as everyone who hasnt discovered it really needs to as its phenominal. Even for someone who isnt a pinball addict. Its just a great game. I do hope that we get a choice of a few games and not just one a month as Ive bought tons of PSN Games.

I might get that 3 month deal for 17.99$ I wanna try Playstation Plus out. I want to get 2 psone games Legacy of Kain, and Soul Reaver which are both 5.99, If i was a plus subscriber would i get any kind of discount? Or is it just specific games that Sony chooses?

@Slappy: No guarantees on that Plat; I hear it's ridonkculously hard, and I'm not the best in the world at racing games to begin with.

It's just the base game. I'm hoping they'll offer Fury as well soon before I play the game enough to want to break down and buy it. I guess we'll see.

So previous games didn't have the driving assist? THAT'S why I like it so much better than the previous one I tried! I did turn that off for one race just to see the difference. Got third on a track I'd easily gotten first on with it on. Driving assist is good!

@Odd: You get PS+ discounts on select products for the month. I listed what's currently available in a previous post, and you can always just check it out on the PSN Store. You don't have to sign up to browse what's available.

I posted on the PS+ value thread. Short version: I'm already AHEAD $9.50 on the value vs. membership cost in only one night, and it's a 15-MONTH membership!

Aye yall dont pass up on Age of Zombies, the PSP Mini that you get with PSN+ I havent beaten it yet but what ive played is an absolute hilarious blast to play. Its got language but its used in such a comical way its just funny. Im very impressed with this little Mini and it plays excellent on the PS3.

By my calculations, it sounds like you're behind 50 bucks. The only one I've heard is tolerable is Age of Zombies...and it's RTS. I'd rather have my rectum scraped with a grapefruit spoon. Add to that the mediocrity that is another 3d breakout clone, a watered down version of F-Zero, and one of the most below-average disc-based racing games ever to release on any system...

This first week definitely didn't sell me on PS + at all...2 dollars off games I don't want and free DLC for games I don't have (and don't want)--plus the occasional free game no one's ever wanted. Stickin' with the PS Free.

@Swerd: Age of Zombies is a dual-analog-style shooter, not an RTS. Of course, since the PSP doesn't HAVE two analog sticks, it uses face buttons to aim, which is a bit imprecise for my tastes.

I can respect the fact that the games on offer don't appeal to you, but they do appeal to some, and I would appreciate if you were slightly less negative about it. Something like "I don't feel it's worth it to me because the games don't appeal to me" would've sufficed.

The way I see it, PS+ is giving me an inexpensive opportunity to try out games I would've otherwise ignored. I would've felt a little ripped off for Age of Zombies at $5, but it's reasonably enjoyable as part of such a long subscription. Rally Cross, I agree is crap; they should've gone with something at least a LITTLE better in the first month. It especially seems daft putting it up in the same month as Wipeout HD, but who knows what Sony's thinking?

I've also just discovered how Sony will make at least some money back on PS+: Convincing people to get games they'd previously not been planning to. $8 for Magic Orbz and all its DLC is more than they were going to get out of me when I would've had to pay full price but wasn't going to buy it, and it's not like there's any production loss on a game that was uploaded to the PSN Store ages ago. So they just got $8 more than they would've without this deal. Same with Mahjong Tales and the Midway games I downloaded.

Obviously, this isn't going to work with everybody. Some people can't be persuaded to give a game another look just because it's a great deal. But I figure people who sign up for PS+ are probably predisposed to PSN gaming in general but not to having every game ever. This gives us a great chance to look back and see what we missed, and for less!

I think PS Plus should give discounts on all games. I'm still not sure yet.

@swerd... my grapefruit just won't taste the same.

I'm a sucker for low budget movies and games so i actually like rally cross lol. Age of zombies is a blast and really funny. Also has one of the best track loops ever.

@ stuff... oh another trick in wipeout is to change your brakes from L2 and R2 to L1 and R1. It helps a lot.

When I first got PixelJunk Shooter, I was convinced they'd lost the magic touch and quit halfway through world 2. Last night I played two-player for the first time and discovered the joys of repeatedly spraying a friend with the magma suit. What a brilliant game.

I finally started playing PixelJunk Shooter a few days ago and have been enjoying it so far. Just wish it had a longer trophy list.

Rally Cross is quite possibly in my list of worst games ever.

I got an invite into the medal of honor closed beta. I only got to play 2 matches yesterday but at first want too impressed but soon going found it to be quite fun. Its not as solid as battlefield or mw but its still fun. Nowhere near all the hype though, it needs a good bit of work.

How do you get an invite?

Please do not tell me its this BS where Sony picks out those who are most comittted with lots of trophies and purchase's.

On a whim I downloaded Numba - a $3 or so PSP/ PS3 mini.

It's simple, but very addictive - very solid puzzle game that really does challenge you to beat your previous score. For $3? Great value.

Cause it's not his fault, he'd play more if he didn't have such a slow connection.
