Today it went down abit more. I've gotten over the speed,i'm happy with it but it keeps going from 3.6 to 3.5 to 3.4mbps.
I can see it slow down in the percentage bar while downloading something.
I don't want this affecting my online playings.
I'll have to try move the DSL line as admittly it is loose and faulty but I never had this on my 1mb connection.

@Sean.... Depends on the signal I guess. I have a 6mb connection and at time it drops to like 3mb. Its not a big deal as you only need less than 1mb to run the internet properly. If you are in the 3mb and complain they will prob just laugh as that is still blazing fast. I dont know how much faster you could really want.

I usually sit in the 5mb range and its crazy fast.

Wow I have 15mb broadband and it's alway around 14mb on my PS3.
I'm fortunate right (feels the envy of the other slow brodband ps3 users...)

I checked mine today with just one PS3 running and it was at 5.5 we pull a lot running 3 PS3s.

@Stuff.... aye did you like Sonic Unleashed? I found this little local guy that has a small game store in Pensacola and brings his excess to Mobile on the weekends today. Needless to say he sells his New/Used PS3 games for $10-$15 USD as he buys in bulk and from people who come in and sell everything he has. I grabbed it for ten bucks and wondered how you liked it. Looks like its kinda fun.

I really hate to be that guy that asks this, but I'm getting my Slim this week and am in need of advice on hidden gems. I'm already familiar with the big names like GoW, Heavy Rain, Uncharted, Ratchet, etc., but what are some of the more overlooked-yet-awesome games, PSN included (hell, probably preferred since all I know there is Fat Princess and Pixeljunk)?

Or if you don't feel like typing a bunch, anyone know a resource similar to NL when it comes to PSN?

Hi Panda - some underrated games (imo) include the following:

Dante's Inferno - yes, its a God of War clone, but it plays almost as well, and the mythology of Christian hell is more appealing (I use that term loosly) to some than Greek mythology. I perfer it, so I recommend this game.

Star Ocean 4: The last hope - Square Enix action RPG - good combo system, interesting plot, gorgeous visuals.

Greed Corp (PSN): Exceptionally balanced and strategic board game.

Sacred 2: Diablo-style hack and slash game with some good MMO-style online gaming

Super Rub a Dub - Relaxing little puzzler in the vein of Monkey Ball

Age of Booty - Amusing little RTS game from Capcom, involving pirates and ships.

Linger in Shadows - if you're into artistic experiences, this is a good one. Not so much a game as an experience.

Of the Minis:

Puzzle Scape - It's about $2, and has heaps of content. Great value for a simple block-matching puzzler.

Hysteria Project - kinda sorta a really cheap Heavy Rain knock off. It is really cheap, but not bad for a once through.

That'll get you started.

I also recommend you set up a Japanese account - some awesome stuff on that service we'll never see over here.

I feel complaining to them big time.
I can't stand the way the speed goes up and down and so on.
I hear its because I'm far away from the ISP-This is BS at its finest. Install new better lines and we got no godamn issues at all.

Downgrade your service and see if you notice a difference.

If not, great you have the same service for a lower price. If so, go from there.

Complaining in this thread will do you no good if you're looking for actual results.

And it is hardly a piece of scrap metals fault for casing you to have a 'tediously slow' speed. Other people do use internet.

And we can upgrade lines so everyone can have no problems.
Which is a problem in this decade because they're all a bunch of money wanting---not gonna say the word of course but you know what I mean.

I've come to a conclusion to just accept it.
Sorry I am just stressed out right now.

If everybody upgraded their lines there would be no difference.

@Slappy: Ehh...Sonic Unleashed is good at first, but on the whole absolutely horrible for completionists. I managed my Plat, which is such an insanely difficult accomplishment that I can't help but be proud, but honestly, it's a stupid waste of time. I wouldn't particularly recommend the game.

Just finished my Plat in the Toy Story 3 game. It's not as good as the pre-release hype made it sound (they never are, right?), but it's a pretty good game overall. May be worth looking into for Toy Story fans, at least.

Thanks WaltzElf, very helpful list. Hadn't heard of Sacred 2, Linger in Shadows and Rub, so I'll be sure to check those out.

Hey Panda, if you want something, you should try out Metal Gear Solid 4. I played the demo and heard it was reaally good. Rub a Dub (the duck game) is also a pretty big challenge if you are not used to the sixaxis controls. Another game that is good is Little Big Planet, but you might as well as just wait for the sequel.

Also, Rocket Knight is a pretty cool platformer. But the best PSN game i have played was Super Stardust HD. It is a really fun some-what top down shooter that reminds me of Geometry Wars in a way.

@Panda... create a Europe, Hong Kong (as its got most the same as Japan and in English) and American account and start downloading demos. You will find tons of them across all the stores and will find out what you prefer or not. Lots of PSN demos in the nonAmerican stores.

In case anybody else is a fan of Ghostbusters, the game is a great way to drop $20 bucks. The game is literally just another Ghostbuster movie and is just as fun to play as it is the watch the many videos and voiceacting. Great little gem of a game for fans of the old movies.

Picked up History Channel's History Egypt: Engineering an Empire mini.

It's ok, you know. Like most History Channel games, it's very low key, and clearly made cheaply, but it's not a bad Heroes of Might & Magic/ Civilisation clone/ homage.

Kinda worth having around to load up on the PSP for on the go.
