The black Wii would be bad a$$! I'd be going insane if it weren't for my Wii right now that my PS3 still isn't working. I've been playing the Metroid Prime Trilogy which is awesome but I've already played those games. I really wish I had invested more into my Wii game catalog. Monster Hunter Tri is looking very enticing! As for my PS3, I should be getting a full refund but I haven't taken it in because Best Buy still doesn't have any new PS3 Slims in stock.

That sucks! I had a similar problem but all I had to do was reassign the internal memory card to slot 1.

I looked it up, and apparently I'm not the only one with the problem, but Sony's official response has so far been to tell people that their PS3s aren't backwards compatible. If that's not a new low for moronic customer support. Obviously it is if the game plays.

Again, I'm picky. Most of the Rental/Cheap buys are games that I really want to play, but know I will only play once or twice then forget about it. Only the must-buys are games that I know I'll keep wanting to come back to. I totally forgot about Heavy Rain, though. That game is definitely a must buy! I think I'll throw in Uncharted 1 and 3D Dot Heroes in as Rentals/Cheap Buys, the former because it lets you unlock cheats a la PS2 Ratchet & Clank/Jak & Daxter (I really miss when games did that ) and the latter because I think it might be worth it for a laugh or two. Thanks, man.

Well, I need 3 more must-buys and 4 more rentals. Anyone else have any suggestions? I'll be looking online in the meantime.

Wipeout HD Fury is a must-buy imo! I freakin' love that game and I'm not even that good at it. I can't believe I'm the only one that ever recommends it.

I can't either. It looks great, and I've loved every game in the series so far. It's definitely on my must-buy list.

@Mickey.... Im telling you man Uncharted 1 is a MUST BUY. Ive played through the game 3 times and I dont play through games multiple times hardly at ALL... even for trophies! Uncharted 1 is Amazing and very much a prequel that will make the Uncharted 2 story not near as appealing as it would be otherwise. Few games will have you as hooked on the characters as the Uncharted Series. I listed most all the great PS3 Retail games that are exclusive to the system.

@SilentJ... I just havent bought it because of my backlog of games, yes it has garnered some of the highest score on the PS3.

All I can say is DAMN.

I game-shared with a good friend of mine from America.
She has Crash 2 and that game is one of the most desired PS1 games I want right now to play because as a kid,I loved that game like crazy.

So I downloaded Crash 2 from her account and try playing it on my PS3(Which is European) and since the TV's over here and in America are different:PAL and NTSC(NL did an article on it about VC if you guys read that,good read too) and now the same thing has happened with me except its more annoying.

The game runs amazing but the color is in black and white.
I messed around with the settings on the PS3 and none of them worked at all.

I can't tell you guys how annoyed I am right now.

Considering what you're doing is illegal, I think Sony is the only one with the right to be annoyed here. How on earth can you be annoyed that a game you didn't pay for and do not own isn't working? Not like you lost anything in the process.

Speaking of gameshare,I'm not one to be giving out personal information or risk losing my psn account BUT my dad just bought him and my brothers a ps3slim and i am going to share with him. My little brothers loved Noby noby boy so I'm basically gamesharing with my own family i'd say its more of a gift what do you guys think?. As far as strangers though im just not sure. I have thought about it i do admit.

I don't think its illegal since you can share with upto 5 PS3's.

@Odd.... I do the same thing. The reason for the 5 PS3 support is because the DLC/Games are in fact yours to do as you please. Basically the same as taking it over to another house on disc and/or letting them borrow. All three my brothers and I share stuff and take turn buying and then I have 2 PS3 in my house and I have 1 reserved that nobody will get access too. If Sony thinks that is illegal then whatever. Ive spent prob well over $20,000 dollars on Sony equipment/games (I buy pretty much all Sony entertainment equipment) in the last 15 years or so and Im sure they want my money to continue rolling in.

Game sharing is illegal unless with family according to your PSN contract (I think it has to be in the same household, too, but I forget). It is not "yours to do what you please" by law. I'm not trying to point fingers at anyone and say naughty boy -- you guys can make up your own minds on what's ethical and what's not. I only brought it up because it seemed silly to be "annoyed" about. It's like a thief stealing a computer and being ticked off because it's broken.

As for "bringing a game over to a friend's house," that is only an accurate comparison if only ever one copy of the game in use at one time, though technically this is not how PSN is supposed to be used. But again, I wouldn't blame anyone for it. In a lot of ways I'm not really happy with how online has affected games, myself, despite how many games I download.

Speaking of online games, Soldner X 2 comes out this month! It looks pretty good. Hopefully they've listened to complaints about the often unfair difficulty and have adjusted for this. Screens and trailers so far show much more intricate bullet patterns than last time (at least, from what I remember), which I certainly welcome.

I'm still hoping the first will go on sale so I can buy it on the cheap. With the balancing problems I don't want to spend ten bucks on it.

There is actually going to be a package that includes both at a discounted price according to the developer's blog, so you are in luck if you feel like getting both. I don't think they mentioned anything about lowering the price of the original as a standalone though.

EDIT: So Square says FF9 is coming soon. I have been tempted to ignore it because I didn't like 7 or 8 (though I played the latter for only a few minutes), but I see now that it gets a lot of comparisons with the older games. Would those of you more familiar with the series recommend it for someone who tends not to like the 3D FFs as much?

Also thinking about tracking down X-2 if Sony ever gets back to me about the internal memory card issue. I'd heard it was terrible, but after playing the other games, I think a more lighthearted game would be better for me, and the more open structure sounds nice, too.

Dunno if this is anywhere further up, but I got Lead & Gold, the team-based online third-person shooter. It's a lot of fun--4 classes, 8 maps, 5 game modes (team deathmatch, deathmath, blow-stuff-up, steal gold, and co-op vs. enemy waves) and pretty good balance. Simple but fun.

Lead & Gold sounds fun. I wish there were some non-online mode though, as you can never tell which of these games will have a long stable following.

By the way, I mentioned awhile back that my internal memory card wasn't working. False alarm. Turns out Gamestop sold me a DQ8 demo disc instead of the actual game. Awesome. Fortunately I was able to exchange it for the real thing and am now back in business. Hoorah.

I like to go in the opposite direction and freeze my consoles so they last forever.

LOL.... that is kinda funny. They tried to put too much effect into it but funny nontheless. I think Im going to put one of mine in the microwave now.
